even with brady, bellicheat has not won a trophy since they took away the spy cams. defensive guru, my butt! without brady, they would be sol.
do you really think either Smith or McElroy have an even chance of being the starter? I do not. the open competition is just p.r. bullshit to mollify the fans and sell psl's and tickets. :drunk:
seriously... its the preseason, these games dont count, the qb decision is not only up to rex at this point, and is likely more the call of the new oc they are trusting to turn the offense around... point being, who the fuck cares if rex is busy coaching the defense and trying to get them on the same page during a regular season game let alone the preseason? with a guy as good at running a defense as rex is, youd just be stupid not to have him focusing on the defense. its not like you can just get any guy to come in and do what rex does, so why the fuck are people complaining? hes gonna get this defense up to speed and performing at a top level no matter who he throws out there, but hes gotta have the time to work with them in game situations if thats going to happen. preseason is preseason, he doesnt have to worry about the offense on game day because its inconsequential, and can even be seen as a way to evaluate your oc and see how much latitude you can actually give him... some of you people are ridiculous. rex has all the time in the world to watch tape but only 60 minutes on gameday, let him do what hes gotta do and quit bitching. the team is gonna shock a lot of people this season and the fact that the media cant at least see improvement is just more proof that they are full of it...
rex wouldnt have gotten to where he is today if it werent for his abilities running a defense. are you people really intimating that he should just stop coaching the defense? hes one of the best defensive coaches in the game right now. why do people want him to focus on the offense? theres nothing wrong with him asking the oc to coach the offense on game day when he is one of the best game day defensive coaches... does anybody seriously not want rex calling the d on gameday?
I just want him seeing what's going with the offense He's asked about the pick 6 and says didn't see it too busy with the defense Hey Rex defense isn't the issue it's the offense
but how is he going to coach the defense if hes turned around watching the offense? i dont think you get how much is going on during the game for both sides of the ball
Defense just came off a good stop forcing a punt Let the positional coaches and DC handle adjustments and examine the offense If he's gonna treat the O like that he should not have any say in the QB decision since he's so caught up in the D
Wow, one pre-season game and the HC is giving his OC Carte Blanche to do as he likes without interference.......and the point of this news flash is?
um, the position coaches and dc aint just standin around with their thumbs up their asses... so you are basically saying you dont want rex, one of the best defensive coaches in the game, coaching the defense?
its not like rex is gonna be making offensive adjustments in game get real here hes gotta do whats made his career for him...
No I didn't say that I want Rex running D but he's got a DC to help him But he's got to be a part of the offense as well at this point he's basically Sanchez is my guy Marty you handle the O I got the D Sorry but I'm not interested in that shit this year Rex is not making a favorable impression in my eyes if he wants to coach the D then do so but I don't want choosing the Quarterback if that's his M.O.
No but there's something wrong with your HC ignoring the offense then saying Mark Sanchez gives the team the best chance to win
Bro. Put it in perspective. This is preseason game number one. Rex is being very smart in working to his strengths and taking the time in a meaningless game to get personal with his players and coach then up during live action. Practice only gets you so much, taking those opportunities to make your defense understand live in game specifics is brilliant coaching. He is not honed in on the offense because that is not his forte as we all know. So being in the game, obviously he isn't going to be as productive with the offense like he is with the defense. It makes sense. So since it was the first of four meaningless games it makes sense to do this type of coaching now because he won't be able to do that often in the regular season. Every snap is recorded from every angle, he knows he will have a lot of time to see exactly what is going on with that offensive performance. After the live action is all done and over with. It's the beauty of the offseason, which we are still I'm if you've forgotten. He has an incredible amount of trust in his offensive coordinators and his input will be there and the feedback he gets will be shoved down those players throats all week leading up to next Saturday night. This is a non story and it is stupid that the media tries to use anything and everything to make nothing into something, and it's always a negative something.
It's not a big deal enough to be a full fledged article buys its worth pointing out My problem is if MM has full control over the O why should Rex have say in the QB competition I doubt we see Sean Payton telling Rob Ryan who he wants rushing the passer or covering Julio Jones and Roddy White That's my issue he's ignoring the O but the main figure head in the most important decision for the team Lets put it like this Rex knows nothing about offense do you trust him making the right decision when it comes to the QB of our team
put the pipe down man, you arent making any sense the qb decision is not his, we have no idea how much say he has in the decision, nor do we have any idea how much time he puts in on offense. there are only so many minutes in a game, and theres work to be done on defense. i still dont get why you refuse to accept that he just might be watching tape of the offense and coaching the defense during the game. hes got a whole offensive staff to coach the offense what the hell is the use of having rex butting his nose in? furthermore, how the hell can rex call a game if hes not in his players ear hearing about whats going on out on the field, whos getting beat, who feels good, what weaknesses the players see out there etc. once again, i dont think you get just how much is going on during the game for the coaches and players
