I'm not a Sanchez supporter by any means, but if you're going to call 10/13 1TD,1int an awful performance, then go cheer for the patriots because your expectations for QB are absolutely absurd. In all honesty, the Sanchez that played tonight seemed different from the one who was playing in the Arizona and Tennessee game of last year. If he goes back to playing like crap, then we got another QB to start. He's on a thin leash now, it won't be like last year.

Really, some people on here are just looking for anything to say he sucks and making excuses like anyone could have scored on that last drive the receiver was wide open.Give the dude a break,I don't think he is our future and I am not a total supporter either but I will support him as best I can till he is gone.

Thought Geno looked ok, nothing to write home about but had good zip on the ball. I think Sanchez will start the season, but I'm curious as to Geno's ceiling & eager to see him play.

That Winslow pass was Sanchez's second biggest problem over the last two years (after awful INTs): he isn't hyper accurate. In this offense it won't be as big an issue as last year when no one was open, but Mark routinely throws near a guy, but not RIGHT where it needs to be. How many times did we see him float a WR screen last year that got stopped for no gain, because the WR was jumping for the ball? You watch the Ravens run that play & it goes for 8 yds and you scratch your head. We would fail on basic NFL plays because of this, over & over again.

Mark will hit a guy back shoulder, when hitting him front shoulder would've meant catching a ball in stride & gaining two more yards, 5 more yards. Those plays add up into first downs & touchdowns over the course of the game. We've been leaving those yds on the field.

How many times did we see passes to the RB, where he threw a screen pass at his feet from 6 yds away & it was a drop? Far too often. Guys like Manning, Brady, that's a bullet right under the armpit, and a first down. Or, a guy like Tomlinson makes the catch, but stopping to catch it gave the LB time to catch up, and we were stopped for no gain? Saw it too often.

If the QB coach improves 1 thing with him this year, getting that level of accuracy should be it. The bonehead throws aren't coaching issues, those are just on him to throw it away.

More accurate Sanchez & a good OC (which we finally have), we'd be a lot happier on Sundays.

That pass after the holding call...was perfect.

He laid that in between rhe logo on the helmet, and the too of the shoulder pad.

The Genomania here is getting tebowmaniiacal.

Let me make one small point. Wveryone says, that Geno fell to 39, because no other teans needed a starter.

Of Geno was that good, how come no team between 13', and 39 said...
Wow if our starter goes down, we need this guy.

The Jets chose Geno over Sackelroy.

Every other team, except Buffalo, who traded up for Manuel...stuck with theor back ups.

Geno made some decent throws. Nothing spectacular, Sanchez outside of the pick 6 had a nice drive, I have to give him his just due. QB competition is still in the air but Mark has the slight edge IMO. Can't wait for next week.

Dude, you make 0 sense. Re-read what you just typed. Make a rational thought for once and maybe people will take you seriously.

    Stop looking at the numbers

He still overthrew a guy 5 feet away from him
Threw a pick to a DL
    Underthrew his RB

    And strugged off all that

10/13 125 is good in context but we are still seeing a lot of the same shit

Geno for example hit everyone except Powell in between the numbers though he was shaky somewhat footwork wise his accuracy is by far and away greater than what Mark presents

Adding to that if you give him a strong run game to go along with his ability to dominate the short passing game that opens up the vertical game where he also possesses more ability than Sanchez

Sanchez will start week 1 only because of Rex we know and have to accept this but Geno even at this stage presents a better alternative

They have Ponder, and Cassell? yeah they have a great Qb
    Situation,
    Really?

    Yeah zero sense.

Geno, had rhe ones in the second qtr, and couldnt produce, because they called shit plays.

They dont want him on the field.....yet.

But besides that, as I said months ago, the competition thing is about rehabbing Sanchez image.

But he is still the more polished player.

It's too early for them to give up on a first rounder

You are boring, man. I see your posts and know it will be the same half-assed crap. Sometimes you sneak a little sense into your nonsense.

But it's really not worth reading your posts anymore to happen upon that accidental sense.

You suck, Hobbes. Your posts are litter on this forum.

jesus christ, i can't believe i have to start out with "I'm no Sanchez Supporter but..." but pick 6 aside, he played above avg the rest of his time. to nitpick where balls are thrown or discuss only his in-completions (3) is catty bitch shit. Cut the screen pass out of his playbook and he'll look like a decent QB. I don't get you twats who want our team to suck. Go root for the Giants.

I don't know why people just can't be unbiased.

Call it what it was. It's not hard.

The offense looks better than last years offense already and it's only the first preseason game. No need to hit the panic button.

Both QB's at least showed an understanding of the offense. Both QB's had their pros and cons. Neither one of them lit the place up, although if Sanchez could play at a consistent level like everyone needs him to, he would've had a fantastic night.

Geno showed his ability but played like a rookie. Simple as that.

Only time will tell, some are holding to much weight on the first preseason game. The first preseason game is usually the worst for most teams. It's nothing unusual to be sloppy coming out of it, it's why it doesn't count.

I would trade Pick 6 for either of those QB's. We have the worst QB ever.

Ill give our receivers the credit for Sanchez being 10-13. How many passes did he fit into tight coverage? 0. Everyone was wide open. Yay its good he didnt overthrow a wide open wide receiver. Are we really celebrating that now? He can throw it to a receiver when there arent defenders around? Good job.
