I agree with this, there wasn't ever a point in taking him out 2009-2011.

He even shouldn't have been taken most of 2012. I was pissed off by all the knuckleheads so ready to have tebowmania 2.0 that they said he needed to be put in every week of the year, when no he shouldn't have despite a couple of bad loses.

It really wasn't until he couldn't do shit against the freaking cardinals despite a fine defensive effort against probably the only offense worse than ours and the Jets were still down 1 due to a gimmie interception HE gave that the benefit of the doubt had to be ripped out in 2012.

The not taking him out approach led to him feeling like his job is safe no matter how much he stinks up the joint. Maybe if they had benched him a couple times in 09, he would feel like his starting job isn't a right. Benching a QB isn't the end of the world. Joe Montana was benched at least once during his rookie year after a subpar performance.

He's hindered us more than helped us at this point. Some of it is excusable, but there's a lot that just isn't.

As a QB that is looking to ensure to the organization and fanbase that he is their QB, you just have to play better than what he has the last year and a half. He accelerated the down. He did not oppose the shitty play, he piled it on. That's the problem I have with the last year and a half. I don't expect him to be Tom Brady, hell, even Tony Romo, but he played on par with Blaine Gabbert.

It's not like he had two amazing seasons and then his play dropped off along with the talent. He has always had the extreme lows, it's just that in his first two seasons there were some great highs sprinkled in. He has never consistently played like a good QB, and that's where I question his ability to get past these last two years.

A blind squirrel gets a nut once every blue moon.

That can't be a sign that the blind squirrel can see.

Now... some are holding on to the nut like their lives depend on it. Hmm.

It took the last two years to find out what we really had in Sanchez. Almost anybody can look the part when they have a super bowl ready veteran team like he inherited. The team traded up into the top ten of the first round to get him and his talent does not reflect that. When thing went bad it was up to him to get on guys and win some games and he did not. He looked like a deer in headlights and lack of experience was not an excuse because he had gone to two previous AFC title games. Once it was up to him to earn his check he failed miserably and he showed his true colors. He is not good and that is that. It is time to end this era before we lose another three years with him.

Joe didn't start as a rookie(DeBerg was their starter), times were different back then. He didn't deserve to be benched until last year.

That is just not true, he has certainly helped us much more than he has hurt us.

I'd rather have Mark than Tony Romo but you guys are all about fantasy #s so I see why you'd want a #s guy that loses like Romo.

Romo is a far better Qb than Sanchez even with the blown games.

If a chemistry student has a "bad" professor and fails his test, who's fault is it? Not the person taking the test? So that student can just chalk up his failing grade to a bad teacher?

Maybe the student just isn't cut out to be a chemist.

Better individual #s guy, not a better QB. He's had more talent to work with his entire career in a weaker div and for some years a weaker conference yet he has 1 playoff win- a home win in the WC rd.

Yep it's all about those fantasy numbers!

Yeah... Well I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that if we had Romo the last four years we would have a ring. I may very well be wrong because Romo can be a choke artist, but he's also a damn good QB most of the time. He's also never had a defense even half as good as ours, and the offensive coaching has been subpar to say the least. Also, lets not make it seem like Mark is Mr. Clutch. Those days have long passed and I'm not sure if we'll see that again. I hope we do because that was the best part of his game, but I doubt it

Romo has choked year in and year out against worse teams in the playoffs with a better team - that's one hell of a stretch man. He's very talented, but he's choked more than any QB I've seen in a long long time.

I can't agree with that statement at all.

:rofl2::rofl2: If we had Romo the last 4 years we probably have as many postseason apps and we don't even make a title game. No way we beat SD or NE of Romo is our QB and we probably don't beat Indy.

Romo has played w/ much better talent.

    2006:
    @Sea 2 pt underdog. Led O to 13 pts in 21-20 loss

    2007:
vs. NYG 7 pt favorite, led O to 17 pts in 21-17 loss

    2009:
vs. philly 3.5 pts fav, led O to 34 pts in 34-14 win
at Min, 2.5 pt dog, led O to 3 pts in 34-3 loss

lost both games they were dogs, went 1-1 when favorites. led O to average of 16.8 PPG. Lowest amount of pts Mark led us to in a playoff game was 17 pts.

  17. Gotta disagree w/ you here. Romo has never had the running game Sanchez has had OR an OL anywhere close to as good as 09-10 for Sanchez.

2007 Romo had a good running game along with TO / Witten and Crayton catching passes. 2006 Romo had Julius Jones with over 1000 yards rushing and Marion Barber had 14 TDs. Their running game in 2006 was prob better than our running game in 2010.

    Cowboys had a better team.

He has had excellent running backs and while his OLs may not have been quite as good he didn't have the '95 Jets OL. On average he has had MUCH more talent than we have had.

I will go out on a limb and say Tony Romo will win a super bowl before Sanchez and have more playoff wins when it is all said and done.
