This is how it's going to start. Pretty sure all but one or two of the countries I saw on the threat map were on the 33rd parallel.

His timing is off but the most recent rash of governmental upheavals in all of the northern African Muslim states and in the middle east is no coinkydink...

Add Egypt to the countries named.

All the US needs is a few convenient enbassy bombings and they can shift the personnel that were dedicated to Iraq and Afghanistan into that straight-line region across the 33rd parallel and we have a new "war". Even though they will disguise it as "The War On Terror".

You can't have a global government if you don't control the radical elements just south of it's headquarters.

The US could not get another major war funded at this point. The will is not there and the Congress will not roll over for more open-ended military action.

I actually think it's going to go the other way. I think the US is going to be withdrawing forces from everywhere by 2018 at the outside. I mean everywhere, Europe, SE Asia, Middle East, everywhere.

We'll maintain treaty commitments to NATO and a few other select regions but the global US empire is dying at this point and the military commitments to maintain it will follow suit.

And now we sit and wait while they "stop" something from happening, then tell you how it was all thanks to the NSA surveilance programs. Then everybody surrenders more individualism in the name of the big bad muslim boogey man. And we all get closer to bending over

Can you please write more about this? The world always need an empire. It was Roman Empire early ages, Byzantine Empire later, then Ottomoan then British then US.

Who will take over? Alliances like Russia-China or Europe?

I don't think US empire as strong as it was 30 years ago but I still think this empire will survive for a long time.

That won't happen unless someone forces us to do it.

What are the odds that Embassy guards and staff are being issued Sat phones, weapons, live ammo and other anti-personnel equipment right now? After Benghazi, Al Q might not find our Embassies a soft target anymore.

So giving the folks that supposedly pulled of 9/11 3 days notice not to attack on that certain day is a good idea? Like they aren't capable of changing their plans?

Rand Paul isn't even remotely close to being a force able to make America do it. A senator can't do jack and he'll never become president.

0%. All that stuff has already probably happened before the government announced anything to the public.

Rand Paul has the same chance to be President that Jack Kennedy did before the drive for his election began. He has more chance than Barack Obama or Ronald Reagan did.

Personality is a very powerful force in American politics at times of great uncertainty and change.

I don't know too many sane people who gush over Rand Paul. Not saying you aren't sane, just that most people I know who seem to love the guy so much tend to be conspiracy theory nut jobs.

I don't particularly like Rand Paul. I just know that who I like and don't like means diddly in the big picture.

Americans are going to be looking for answers over the next generation. The people who offer those answers in the most convincing, reassuring and dynamic ways are going to be well ahead of the game. The answers don't need to be right, they just need to look like they might be.

If you look at the Right at the moment they only have one person who offers anything that anybody but the Right is interested in. That's Rand Paul. He offers the Left the Libertarian viewpoint on big government which is both bad and good from that perspective. Getting rid of Big Government is anathema to the Left but ditching Big Brother in the process might make it palatable.

Pretty sure Libertarian doesn't mean restricting women from getting abortions (Even if they were raped) and preventing people from getting married due to their sexual orientation.
