with holmes prob out for most of the season and goodson prob out for ever im annoyed idzik hasn't signed and wr and rb to take their place-----don't know names but they should have replacements in camp today

Austin collie is a name that keeps coming up------need a vet rb to add to team ----ivory seems to have hammy probs----jets very thin at rb position-----span is to little at 5'8' to be lead runner

    cmon idzik do something

Haha, he just signed Braylon. I'm not too worried with Braylon, Kerley, and the positive reports on Gates and Hill this TC.

And we have 5 running backs....as long as Ivory gets off the bike and starts practicing soon, we'll be fine.

    RB Depth Chart:
    1. Chris Ivory
    2. Bilal Powell
    3. Joe McKnight

    WR Depth Chart:
    1. Braylon Edwards
    2. Stephen Hill
    3. Jeremy Kerley
    4. Clyde Gates

Those are without Santonio Holmes and Mike Goodson included.

Doesn't look great, but not too bad either. Those are not the actual depth charts, I was just naming the players.

Not sure there is anything better out there right now.

Idzik wasn't building a team for this season, he is trying to build a team that can compete for championships. That takes time, I assume we will be much more active next offseason as some contracts come off the books and we have more cap room.

I really like Ivory, but I wasn't too high on trading a 4th round pick for him. Hopefully he can get and stay healthy and be a weapon for us.

It's not very often that I agree with Junc but he's spot on with his assessment. Idzik isn't worried about 2013. Neither should any of us as this year is more or less an evaluation year.

Idzik is taking his time and doing things right. It just feels strange as we're not used to it.

I agree with you. If he is healthy we can compete this year.

This is my issue as well, we had 2first rounders and 4 other worthy picks none of witch went to a wr, great we bring in Braylon that's the same thing Mr. T did late last year. There were plenty of options early in free agency low money options. I really don't get it and don't give me cap bs there's 20 teams with a worse cap situation then we have

I didn't know Holmes would be out that long. He's out the entire summer? Geez, that sucks. How can he possibly jump in during the season and make any impact if he misses all of camp...

I think we can survive with Braylon, Kerley and Winslow. Powell was effective last year in his limited reps. I think we'll be alright.

We have very high potential players at both WR and RB. Now it's up to the players to reach that potential.

I feel more confident in the WR position than I do with the RBs, which is the opposite of how I felt before TC. I agree with those who feel that Hill will step up big this year, and Gates seems to be stepping up as well. Regarding the RBs, our two top RBs are both sidelined, or in Goodson's case, MIA. That, to me, is the bigger concern.

Yea Idzik isn't worried about his first Nfl season as a gm in a new York market ,that's a joke maybe Idzik isn't the guy most of you want him to be,there's a reason all the top gm candidates turned down the job and he took it,he sounds like a push over type of guy to me,Millner,Richardson,Braylon, those are all Rex Ryan moves,Idzik isn't a football guy he is a capoligist just like Mr T,He should be worried about his first year because if year 2 is also a joke he could be gone in year 2 ,this is ny not Kansas city

  15. Jets have alot of big play ability..drastic difference from last year. I worry more about moving the chains. Alot of unproven guys consistency wise.

These " high potential" wr's you speak of looked like the who's who of The Practice squad last season besides Kerley who would be a good 3rd or 4 th option I'm not seeing what your seeing ,I must have watched a diffrent Jets team last year,I saw nothing last season that gives me any faith in these guys, and I can't stand when reports surface of guys looking great in practice with no pads no tackling usually, no defensive schemes or pass rush Im not buying into GAtes or Geno looking good in practice ,Every year we hear Sanchez looks good in practice look where that took us

Idzik has done well enough this offseason.

Also, Austin Collie is one hit away from his brain pouring out of his nose. Edwards, Kerley, and Hill is actually solid. Especially Kerley is a guy who is probably going to have a breakout year.

Shouldn't you blame T-bomb before getting disappointed by Idzik?

So your saying Idzik is just sitting in his office with his eyes closed with his head phones in his ears and while pretending to read the depth chart he has a copy of "Sluts Buts" mag inbetween the pages with a countdown clock
on the wall that says "6months till I fire Rex"?
