Mark my words we will start the season at least 3-0. We are somewhat lucky the first few weeks; Rex's is typically good at planning for season openers, we are 3-1 in season openers under Rex so I expect us to edge one out of the Bucs. In week 2, we will be playing a Patriots team without Hernandez, Gronk, Lloyd, Welker, Branch, etc on a short week, we will shock everyone and win this game. After this we have essentially a mini bye week to prepare for the Bills who will either be tossing Kolb or Manuel out there and I like our chances against either. But all in all I can totally see us getting around 9 wins but 10-6 would not surprise me nor a 7-9.
9 to 11 wins. The division is weaker with the Pat's TE's gone or injured. The Jets defense will lead the AFC East, possibly the entire NFL. It is going to be very fun to watch. Kind of like in 09.
In my heart of hearts I feel the Jets are better than people give us credit for. But until they prove it, on paper this looks like a 6-8 win team. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets overachieve and win 10 games.
Does anyone else feel as if the AFC East is going to be a tight battle this year? I mean there's no doubt that the Pats have declined a bit, the Jets should be better than last year, the Fins have placed some loftyyy expectations on their own shoulders and seem over-confident, and the Bills, well the Bills are the Bills. I could see the division champion being 9-7 Edit: And we have a tough interleague matchup with the NFC South which seems to be on the rise across the board. Not a single team in that division should be taken lightly.

6-8 wins seems to be the popular zone and I agree with that. I think the defense will be good enough to keep us out of the 0-4 wins area and I think that's where many people agree. Then I think it comes down to (injuries of course) to the question mark at our offensive skill positions, QB, RB, TE, and WR. I think the most reliable player out of those 4 units we have right now is Kerley. And while Kerley is a great receiver to have, you don't want him to be the most talented or reliable guy you have offensively. How MM is able to get this offense going will dictate if we end up 6-10 or 8-8. I do see some scenarios where we get lucky and can scrap out 10 wins, but I wouldn't expect it. It's not impossible, but for me it's improbable right now. Preseason will let us get a better focus on how the team looks and will play this year
Do you know that we have won 11 or more games just 4 times in the history of this franchise? Did you know that the last time we swept both the Bills and the Dolphins was in 1998? You have both of those things happening in your prediction. I find that highly unlikely to happen with this current team. I really hope you and Hobbes are right and I am wrong.
Best direction on both sides of the ball, simultaneously. And...I actually included in my observation, the Jets blowing a division game.
I'll take a stab at this... Vs Bucs - Win At Patriots - Win Vs Bills - Win At Titans - Win At Falcons - Loss Vs Steelers - Win Vs Patriots - Loss At Bengals - Win Vs Saints - Loss At Bills - Loss At Ravens - Loss Vs Dolphins - Win Vs Raiders - Win At Panthers - Win Vs Browns - Win At Dolphins - Loss For a 10-6 record, although a loss to the Steelers and/or Bengals is very possible, which could make us 9-7 or 8-8.
