How about wiping your snot on someone else's jacket as he did in the "La Bamba" video at 58 seconds?

I apologize for knowing the game better than you.

    That "top 5 run game".

Our run game was primarily Green and LT:
    404-1680 yds, 4.16 YPC, 8 TDs

good #s, we had a decent run game.

    Where our #s get skewed:

    Brad Smith: 38-299, 7.9 YPC
week 17 vs. Buf in a meaningless game where we rested starters:
    McKnight 32-158, 4.9 YPC
    Smith 5-60, 12 YPC
    Connor 8-44, 5.5 YPC

we ran it for 276 yds that afternoon. we were 4th in rushing yds, w/o that game we would have been 6th w/ the worst YPC.

    Our primary back was LT:

    weeks 1-5: 76-435, 5.7 YPC, 3 TDs
    Great.
    weeks 6-15: 143-479, 3.3 YPC, 3 TDs
Not even mediocre, 67% of the year he wasn't very good but hey the rankings say we had a top 5 run game!

Greene only had 6 games w/ 4YPC or better

    As for the D, a top 5 D:

Game 1:allowed Bal to control the ball for 40 mins allowing a million 3rd and longs

game 3: did everything they could to allow Miami a chance to win but luckily they failed late

Game 5: tried to give away Minny game, luckily they made a play late

Game 10: despite O controlling clock and giving D another late lead, allowed the immortal Colt McCoy to lead a last minute TD drive to send game to OT

Game 11: blew 23-7 4th qtr lead, rescued by incredible GW drive by O

    Game 13: allowed 45 pts

Game 15: O scores 27, D allows 38 to JAY CUTLER and the Bears

title game: allow Pitt to control clock and walk all over us in 1st half to set up large deficit

But our ranking was top 5!(in yards not pts)

The beating he took in Year 3 it's surprising he walked off the field in many of the games. We started Wayne Hunter at RT, anyone and everyone ran right by this guy, no problem. The running attack stalled without a #1 in TJ or LT. Our OC's were Schotty and Sparano. Our QB coach sucked for years. Rex, clearly has zero grasp of the offense. Holmes, was and is a bad, bad teammate.

This year is a stepping stone for the offense. We might actually pick up first downs and score some points. We actually have some weapons and competition at many positions. We still don't have any household names other than "butt fumble boy" which sucks. I would love for us to get a premier running back and build this offensive line. The receivers are looking fairly decent, but we could use a clear cut #1.

If Geno is the future of this team, there is no reason for him to start this season. Yes, he should play at points throughout the season; and depending, take over at some point. Unless Suckchez absolutely sucks in training camp competition I think it is the wise move to have him start as we continue to groom Geno and rebuild this once horrid offense.

lol, shonn greene got hurt and so did strickland, than a h.o.f. qb carved us up when we were under manned at cb and couldn't control the clock on "o".
there is no reasonto spin it to make the team look worse so sanchez looks better. no one blames him for that loss.

I'm not saying these little annoyances don't surface on any team, but there seems to be a pattern of immaturity emerging here.... possibly arrested development.

This explains why Ryan has asked Sanchez time and again to stop making the low percentage throws and start taking better care of the ball, only to have it come back again and again and again. That's one of the signs of arrested development... the inability to realize you are fucking up royally and need to account for yourself.

It's also another reason why he stands at the podium after a horrendous performance and embarrassing loss and goes into what I call his Californication Mode, where he casually shrugs off questions and nonchalantly provides cliche-like, offhanded answers of non-accountability for the loss. Arrested developement. Wipe your snot on someone else's jersey and think it's funny, while you're playing piss poor and letting everyone else around you down. But then you just shrug it off as just another loss and "Oh well, we stillhave 5 games left, so we'll see what happens." Get TF off the stage Mark.

i dont... i really don't give a damn what he wears unless it physically harms him or something.

he can wear whatever he wants as long as he plays well.

any news on Ivory or the receivers today? I'm getting pretty pumped for Rogers.

8th in YPC but 4th in yds and much of that great YPC came from Brad Smith and a meaningless week 17 game, the bulk of our run game came from 2 guys who averaged less than 4.2 YPC which is good but not great.

In 2009 they were known for being physical and punishing up front, not in 2010. They were nowhere near a top 5 run game in 2010.

    Green/LT: 404-1680, 4.16 YPC, 8 TDs
accounted for 77% of our carries

    Mia: Williams/Brown: 359-1407 yds, 3.9 YPC, 7 TDs
    comparable, slight edge NYJ

    Buf: Jackson/Spiller: 296-1210, 4.1 YPC, 5 TDs
    comparable, slight edge NYJ

    NE: Green-Ellis/woodhead: 326-1555, 4.77 YPC, 18 TDs
    Better than NYJ

    Pitt: Mendenhall/Redman: 377-1520, 4.03 YPC, 13 TDs
slight edge Pitt b/c of TDs

    Bal: Rice/McGahee: 407-1600, 3.93 YPC, 10 TDs
    equal

    Cin: Benson/Scott: 382-1410, 3.7 YPC, 8 TDs
    edge Jets

    Cle: Hillis: 270-1177, 4.4, 11 TDs
    even

    KC: Jones/Charles: 475-2363 yds, 4.97 YPC, 11 TDs
    huge edge KC

    SD: Tolbert/Matthews: 340-1413 yds, 4.16 YPC, 18 TDs
    edge SD

    Oak: McFadden/Bush: 381-1812 yds, 4.76, 15 TDs
    edge Oak

    Den: Moreno: 182-779, 4.3, 5 TDs
    huge edge Jets

This is just the AFC, they weren't top 5 in the AFC let alone the entire NFL.

So when the stats back up a claim (Jets top 5 rushing attack) superfan dismisses it. When the stats back up Sanchez poor play he uses other bs to downplay it and always says "stats w/out context". Interesting.

discussing LT having a really good 5 game run and being mediocre the rest of the year is stats w/o context? but just posting top 5 rankings shows context, right? anyone watching that team knows we didn't have a great run game, I can't help those that don't understand the game but the knowledgeable folks realize what kind of ground game we had and what kind of D we had.

If losing Strickland was the difference then did we really have a top defense? Losing Greene killed us b/c we had no run game w/o him and Indy knew that so they had a huge edge against a rookie QB knowing he had to pass. Losing Strickland hurt but it shouldn't have been the difference. Our D had a double digit lead in that game and they blew it, a big time D doesn't get carved up like that.

Recent history suggests that sitting a QB is no more likely to lead to good development than playing him. We didn't "ruin" Sanchez by starting him early he's just not good. Nor will we "ruin" Geno if we start him and he has the talent we think he has. Luck, Wilson RG3 and Tannehill all did well starting first year.

There you go again. More stats without context. Do you think teams stacked 8 in the box against the likes of Brady, Big Ben, Rivers, Flacco, Palmer, etc amongst the teams you mentioned?? If you watched the games (like you claim you do) you saw the Jets face 8 in the box consistenly. Imagine what the running game would have looked like had defenses had any fear of Sanchez through the air???
