^^^^ This! The headband makes him look like a girl...

  2. Sorry..not buying the "new offense" in regards to the QB spot. Word out of camp is that Morningweg has taylor made the play selection to suit both QBs supposed strength. This should provide for both QBs to perform at optimal levels. I'll buy the notion for the rookie..he's in a brand new setting & making a major jump talent wise. But not a 5th year starter fighting for his career.

Not if Geno isn't ready to play in the NFL. He may need a year to sit and learn the game from the sideline. Their is a reason he dropped to the 2nd round. Again, if he is ready and shows he can play, that is different. If he starts because he is slightly better or equal to a struggling Sanchez? Not good.

He wasn't rushed into anything. Jets had a Top 5 running game and a Top 5 defense in his first two years and he was asked to do very little in the first two years except manage the game. When it came to Year 3 and 4 and it was time for him to step it up he kept making the same mistakes as always.

That is absolutely not the same thing as calling something "gay" in a pejorative sense. One is immature; the other is hurtful and intolerable, in my opinion.

Starting a rookie qb doesn't mess up his progression and just because he is a second rounder doesn't mean he needs to sit for a year. Example russel Wilson- 3rd rounder.

With a new qb you need to just ease him into the playbook and not give him to much to do at once. Shanahon did a Great job putting rg3 in the best possessions by running the ball and starting games with short passes to build confidence and ease him into the game. Marty needs to do the same with geno. Shotty gave Sanchez the whole playbook and expected him to master it from day one, that messed him up

NO they did not, in year 1 they did though our top RB disappeared in postseason and our top ranked D was beaten up by a legendary choker in the title game. In 2010 we were 3rd in rush yds but those #s were skewed by a)Brad Smith and b)Buffalo week 17. We had a decent run game nothing close to a legit top 5 run game. Our D was up and down, much like 2009 they blew a ton of leads and just like '09 in our biggest game w/ the SB on the line they were horrible.

I'll agree the headband is embarrassing.

except for it being wrong it's a great post:grin: Rankings don't tell us everything, we did not have a legit top 5 run game in 2010, we did not have a legit top 5 D in 2010. In 2009 we were ranked #1 in D but weren't the best, our run game was great in 2009 though.

Geno will be Russel Wilson 2.0

Sanchez is CFL bound next year

It's funny, on my wishlist (check my previous posts) in this draft was Milliner and Geno.

We got both and Richardson :)

Geno will win the job. Sanchez will back him up for a year and then get cut. Jets will make the PO's and Rex will be re-signed. #Jetsprophecy2013

This is why your drivel is such nonsense. Talking in circles. Quoting stats and then say they are "skewed". Then pointing out the D's "horrible" play yet ignoring Sanchez horrible play.

It may be off-topic but man was our Run D not amazing in '09?!

Every opening drive a team would try and run against us and their line would just crumble as our lineman made every team look like fools. So many TFL's in that season. I think I became spoiled in that every year I expect a run stuffing D. But hearing the news about our front like Wilk, Richardson, Ellis, Lb'ers with speed and power like Coples and Davis. I really want to see this young D kick some serious ass in terms of stopping the run.

Talking out of both sides of your mouth again. Always cherry picking something. You sunk to new lows comparing Eli's turnovers to Sanchez while conveniently ignoring 34 more TD's Eli has produced in the same time frame. Ho hum.....same schtick...over and over and over and over again.

  20. But you're basing us not being a "top 5 running game" ON stats. They finished 8th in YPC(not bad) & 2nd in rushing attempts. That's a pretty darn good rushing attack. The team was known for being physical & punishing up front. Prevailing wisdom is that they WERE a top 5 running attack. They certainly weren't dominant & lacked the big play..but easily top 5.That's when looking at numbers & the run blocking up front
