Difference is that Rex was 4th year veteran. And according to people here should never make a mistake in their 4th year or their career is over. That was Sanchez' rookie year after only starting 16 games in college. To say they're the same QB based on those stats alone is just silly. Now if you add some real stats you can start to make somewhat of a case, But I'll still take Sanchez over Grossman 10/10 games. Regular Season Grossman 29W-34L 863/1,562 55.2% 10,654yds 67TD 60INT 71.4 QBR Sanchez 37W-31L 1028/1867 55.1% 12,092yds 80TD 69INT 72 QBR Playoffs Grossman 2W-2L 69/133 51.9% 783yds 4TD 4INT 67.3 QBR Sanchez 4W-2L 95/157 60.5% 1155yds 9TD 3INT 94.3 QBR
no use arguing in this thread anymore geno just broke away from mark with todays performance not looking good for sanchez
That was Grossman's first full year starting though. I can't compare Sanchez playing 16 games to Grossman playing 2 games. Okay and in that case here is Sanchez 4th year numbers. 246- completions 453- attempts 54.3- completion % 2883- yards 13- td's 18- int's so there is not THAT much difference between rookie Sanchez numbers and 4th year vet Sanchez numbers.
From now on whenever Hobbes or superfan nyjunc compares Sanchez to QB's that are clearly better. I'm just gonna ask one question. For example if you're Jerry Reese and Idzik calls and proposes an Eli for Sanchez swap in your honest opinion do you think Reese even thinks twice before making his decision?
Why single out any year? I just gave you their career numbers. Sanchez is better, But they're similar.
I feel so embarrassed for those fans that have so much access to more info than ever before yet they still don't have the slightest clue what they are watching. For a casual fan to be so clueless is ok but for a fan that posts every single day and still knows nothing? I feel bad for you. This is all a waste of time for all of us but at least some of us have a clue about the game.
Sanchez played in more games and his numbers are hardly that much better. Grossman's numbers look Sanchez like and they have the same problems mentally, they are similar. I'm curious though who do you think Sanchez is comparable to as far as ability?
I mean if you're Reese why turn down the chance to bring in a QB that is 5 years younger and has been to back to back AFC Championship games. Right?
rex has had one year where hasn't been under .500 as a starter, Mark has had 1 year where he has been under .500. Rex won 2 playoff games, both came in 1 year in a very weak year for the NFC where the 2 seed was a 10 win team. Both playoff games came at home. rex has started 4 playoff games, had an INT in all but 1. In just 4 postseason games(w/ ZERO road games) he has 4 INts, in 6 road playoff games Mark has 3 INTs. mark also has 9 TDs. In the SB he got the benefit of a STs TD and w/ the game w/in a score he threw an INT for a TD to end it. has Mark ever gotten a D/STs TD? has he ever thrown a late pick to seal a playoff loss? The 2 are nothing alike
The 2 are nothing alike due to varying circumstances. Another gem from the superfan, then the superfan goes on to compare their circumstances which has nothing to do with their individual ability to play QB. Your entire post is filled with conjecture and blanket statements.
Yep but posting playoff wins proves who really is the better QB. We can both play this game all day. Unlike you I don't attach team accomplishments to a single player and treat it like an individual stat. Using that players stat gives us a better idea of the kind of player he is. Which in 4 seasons have been bad outside of one decent year (2010)
