Milliner signed: PFT Looks like milliner will be in camp on Monday http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/07/28/jets-milliner-agree-to-terms/
In more ways than one. I shudder to think how long this might have taken if it wasn't for the rookie wage scale.
We our pass defense was 2nd without Revis. We dont need to replace Revis, we need to build without him. Milliner is a great start.
3 million a year, sounds good with me. Now we have an extra 13 million to spend elsewhere. Revis was not worth 16 million, the end. He does not impact the game like a great QB does.
He is saying Revis is not worth QB numbers (16mil), no matter how good he is at shutting down receivers... You just can't tie up that kind of money into a corner. That money is justified for a QB, WR, or DE/OLB.
Were looking pretty good this year! Can someone reply to this will we have enough CAP room next year to sign a big free agent??
It's early, but if Sanchez and Holmes are cut like expected, we got about $24 million to play around with, already accounting for drafts, extensions, etc. http://www.ganggreennation.com/2013/6/22/4454184/the-jets-2014-cap-outlook
I disagree, the Overall defense was garbage altogether even with Revis. Losing him put it over the edge however.
