Don't get me wrong, Sanchez has a been a warrior for us, despite his inconsistencies. I always think back to the Oakland Raiders game in 2011. He fought for every last yard in that game and was just a few inches shy of bringing us back into the game. Honestly I liked that Sanchez better than one that slides. He has been taking numerous big hits over his career (especially in 2011). It seems like there's always that one hard one that takes him out of his game for several weeks.

I'd like to further study this, but if you look at Sanchez career it seems to go up and down in streaks.

I know I'm tying in wins with Sanchez playing well, so it doesn't apply to all, but in a good amount of the wins, he did. That's some streakyness if I've ever seen it. I'm going to look further into this and see if each of those losing streaks isn't fueled by a big hit. There does seem to be a relation between wins and hits. Amazing how big the dropoff is after 2010 with sacks and hits. Here's to hoping Winters/Ducasse & Peterman/Colon can get this line back to where it needs to be. Now that we have Edwards, Sanchez #1 priority should be protection.

 

Exactly my point. The Broncos are gonna go with what Manning does. They ain't gonna stick by some "Institutional playbook"...if there even is such a thing.

Did he says this AFTER there was a ton of NFL tape to study on Kellen Clemens? Jaws really liked him in college and coming out of the draft, from what I remember. College and pros are two different animals.

I'll tell you one thing: Jaws knows infinitely more about evaluating a QB than people on this board.

But maybe you should take a look at his track record before you put any stock in his opinion. Just having played the position doesn't mean he can evaluate all players at that position.

Friendly advice. I thought he had predicted the next Jets QB when he talked all nice about Kellen Clemens.

That doesn't mean he's an idiot at analysis, but I stopped listening to him shortly before I stopped watching ESPN, so I won't just trash him, I will trash his entire organization.

If you want to discard somebody's analysis because they've been wrong before, you won't be listening to anybody at all...and, of course, nobody will listen to you anymore either, since you've also been wrong. This goes for everybody.

Jaws knows exactly what he's talking about. He breaks down film on every NFL QB...watches everything every single thing that each of them does. He's been there, and knows what to look for.

Disregarding Ron Jaworski's opinion based on his feelings of Kellen Clemens coming out of the draft is asinine, to whoever said that. His opinion of Mark Sanchez's is spot on, in my opinion. Personally, I didn't need Jaws to tell me...these things are obvious.

He rated every QB this year, and he had Sanchez at #28.
