Hehe, your username is what makes that post priceless. If you don't like Holmes so much, I'm sure Cman or Mack would help you with a username change.

This is great news!! i know some people don't think Braylon is the end-all be-all, but our offense hasn't been the same since he left

    I agree.

The other loss that has really hurt the Jets is Tomlinson. Hopefully Ivory and Goodson can provide some of the receiving threats that LT used to give to the offense.

I hope we get the Braylon of 3 years ago. Its nice to have someone who actually loves being a Jet. Now shut up about Sanchez being the man and just get ready for the season and let the best man win.

I'm not that big on Edwards, but do feel a lot more comfortable about our WR situation with him re-signed.
We need the depth, he wants to be here, hopefully can help mentor Hill, and has strong relationships with many on the roster. that can't hurt.

now just don't let him talk to the media at all...

Don't hold your breath. Knee injuries limit the halflife of speed receivers greatly.

Expect half of the Braylon we got three years ago.

Not really sure how I feel about the Braylon signing. I'm not getting my hopes up at all though.

does anyone actually know how bad his knee is? Thirty is not old for a WR.

Braylon seems like one of the few guys I can remember who actually wants to be a Jet so I welcome him back and hope he plays like he did the first year we had him

Question: Braylon Edwards lines up wide left. Stephen Hill lines up wide right. Who do you put your fastest DB against?

Answer: It doesn't matter because whoever isn't covered by that DB is going to burn their man.

Anyone not named Chaz Schilens is already an immediate upgrade.

I honestly hope Hill breaks out and that ACL injury was just a small roadblock. Dude could be amazing.

I am glad Braylon is back, but I have to vehemently disagree here.

You would put a guy that had 56 catches last year on a team with miserable QB play (Kerley) on the bench?

Kerley all but has the slot job sewn up, regardless of who else is signed.

The Braylon signing is a hedge against the Holmes injury and Hill's development.

I don't think it takes Kerley off the field in any situation where 3 WRs would be used, unless Kerley is running the wildcat or it is obviously a power running play.

To expand, Kerley has a spot locked up if he's healthy in my mind. Whether it be the slot or the outside position, he's going to be playing and should be playing as much as possible

IMO the starters will be Kerley and Edwards

No. Edwards is a #4 if Holmes is healthy and how could you leave out Kerley. Kerley has 85 receptions the past two seasons and Edwards has 33 with three different teams, all of which released him. Hill is the future and needs to given a chance to succeed. Edwards is insurance.

Edwards brings some depth, but to get all worked up over a player that nobody in the NFL wanted the past two years is just silly.
