Sanchez just sucks... just sucks. (all Sanchez complaints here)

  1. Sanchez said after the game that he forgot what the play was which caused the whole stir. Totally inexcuseable, unprofessional & embarrassing. He then wrapped up the press conference by saying "Happy Thanksgiving" almost in a sarcastic tone as if to queston why the media was in such awe about the horrid performance.

I lost all faith & respect for Mark Sanchez as a leader after that. Even the biggest Sanchez apologist can't spin that crap

The game was already over before the butt fumble. Marks numbers were pretty good that game. The butt fumble was just an exclamation point.

I admire Sanchez for playing well the rest of that game. The fans and media would not move on.

Our offense was so bad toward the end of last season Mark had no chance to be successful. He needed to just be a game manager and not worry about making plays. He could not do it he pushed and forced making him look worse than he is.

This whole group think bash Sanchez is ridiculous from smart fans. Mark is not a ten year Vet Mark can still prove. To me how Mark improves the most is with a sound offensive strategy. Don't expect fantasy numbers unless our receivers and line step up.

Geno has shown his immaturity what is the Rush? Year 1 and year2 is night and day to an NFL player even Sanchez. If Mark does not step up Geno will get his chance. The problem from Geno supporters if he does not look like Marino day one they want to draft another QB next year.

Most of the fans just want to see what Geno Smith brings to the table next year.

We know what Sanchez brings to the table at this point. It's not enough to get the Jets over the top. We want to know what Smith brings to the table before the QB-rich draft next year goes by.

and you fail to note circumstances.

I have made my arguments for years on this site and sites like it. It is a topic I love b/c I can't stand folks just posting stats w/o context. All things were not equal btw the 2 QBs.

-Peyton played more than half his games in domes
-Peyton consistently had much better talent to work with
-Peyton's "crappy" Ds allowed less PPG in playoff games than Brady's supposed great Ds.
-Peyton struggled playing in AFC East, struggled against Pats
-Peyton threw away a SB w/ a TD, Brady ;eft field late w/ a lead TWICE and saw his D blow it
-Peyton lost a playoff game where he got 14 STs pts AT HOME
-Peyton has lost 5 home playoff games in only 11 games(Brady 3 in 14 home games)
-Peyton has been one and done EIGHT times(Brady 2 times)
-Peyton has been SHUT OUT in postseason and led O to 3 pts in another game.
-In 2003 the Colts whined about Pats DBs mugging Colts WRs so whent hey meet in the '04 postseason what happens/ he leads them to 3 pts w/ the new rules.

Later in Brady's career he became more Manning like meaning great reg season #s and struggled a bit in postseason but he still made 2 more SBs and 4 more title games.

Yep so we can run geno out of town in 2 years when he struggles. If a team listens to fans they will never win.

I cannot believe you actually said that shit. The Patriots played prevent defense on us for the ENTIRE second half...you know...because of us being down 35-3...? You know, because of 14 points off of two Sanchez turnovers (buttfumble and long drive by Brady).

    Don't be this obtuse

I defend mark but I wouldn't pump up his #s from the buttfumble game when the game was over. usually he is a bad garbage time QB and doesn't pad stats unlike many other QBs but he padded #s that night. Anything after that fumble was meaningless.

THIS....is why the jets need to move on ASAP. of course it likely wont be this year but in the next year or 2, the QB position needs to have a fresh face. whether thats smith or not, i have no idea.

Was he covering for a teammate? he's never thrown anyone under the bus, he always takes the blame. do we really think every bad play was his fault?

I feel like if both Sanchez and Geno play well in training camp and preseason then Geno should start. Because at this point Sanchez is no longer in the teams long term plans. Plus the team would like to see what they have in Geno and give him a chance to gain valuable NFL experience. How can Geno benefit from watching Sanchez play? I can understand if we had a good/decent QB in place. But we don't so let Geno play and if he happens to struggle then Sanchez being the 5th year vet should be able to step in for a couple plays if needed. I don't think Geno can play any worse than Sanchez did last year anyway. And like someone said if we have to have a QB out there making rookie mistakes then you might as well put the rookie out there.

But I wouldn't be surprised if both Sanchez and Geno play well in TC and preseason and Rex goes with Sanchez on opening day.

He would get to watch mistakes too, you don't have to sit and watch a great QB to be able to learn from the sideline.

w/ that said if he shows he is ready he will start, if not Sanchez will start.

This, Sanchez has never blamed any other player for anything that has happened and takes the brunt of just about every criticism thrown at the team. I'm almost sure that someone other then Sanchez had to blow it on that play as well.

If I have to have a young QB sit on the bench then I would rather have them watch a good QB instead of a bad one.

There are plenty of things Geno can learn from watching Sanchez, Like how to be a professional, how to take care of his body, how to deal with the NY Media.

Say what you want about Sanchez, He's been a consummate professional his entire career and has pretty played every game since he was drafted.

  15. No..not every bad play is his fault. Too many Jet fans fail to acknowledge how dire the injury bug became at the skill positions last year. Jets were literally down to 10th stringers being signed right off the street. Not considering that within both Sanchez/the offense's overall performance is ignorant & laughable.

That said...forgetting a play & just running into the line as a professional is just inexcusable. That just cannot happen. For one..it shows a complete lack of focus. Secondly either audible at the line to a play you DO know, call a time out or throw the ball away. Don't just take the play for granted & just run into the line. That was beyond embarrassing & there is no excuse.

sanchez has to be clearly better than geno to start. just like kellen clemmons had to be clearly better than mark to start in 2009. if it is even that just locks in the fact that marks ceiling is geno's floor.

You can't count out the fact that Rex would play Sanchez to see if he can redeem himself after last season.

i don't think rex is as loyal to mark as it is made out to be. and don't count out the pressure from idzick, he has nothing invested in mark.
