DO NOT LIKE THIS MOVE. Future wise we will have no contracts past 2014-2015 right now because Novak was 2015-2016. I don't see how this helps the team unless he goes back to being uninjured and good.

Too much hope in this move, do not like it, but hoping I'm wrong. Also will melo back to the 3 or is it amare/Andrea bench aka no defense

Just don't think we needed to give up picks for this.

Ok, I personally dont mind this move, but Melo has got to go back to the 3. The end. If melo continues to play the 4 Bargnani will have to to rotate with chandler, Amare will never see the court.

In the end, Melo has to play SF, until then they are wasting a lot of payroll and talent,

Ok after my rage has calmed....Hear me out.

We owe Camby and Novak money for the next few years...Bargs actually is a 2nd/3rd option. He is a legit option and he will creative issues for people. This bodes well for Tyson and Amare.

We need to get a ball handler...I am hearing Aaron brooks, I like that guy.

The picks looks like a first and 2 seconds, they blow...But we are in it all the way now. Lets do something about it...Everyones contract ends at the same time

Complete panic move. this is a complete over reaction to the Pacers series loss. The Knicks want to go big because they got beat by the big men. And now they see Garnett in Brooklyn which added to the fire.

The Knicks shoulda gone smaller and made the teams that go big pay.

Pry J.J. Redick from the bucks or something, or tell JR to hit his shots. Stay the course, you dont make a move because on team took advantage of a mismatch.

The picks make no sense, the Raptors were eager to dump Bargnani but I guess for the salaries to match up. This only back fires if he can't stay healthy (he's missed 98 games the last two seasons).

The East is gunna be rough. That 4-5 matchup in the playoffs is gunna get someone fired. The Knicks, Nets. Pacers, Bulls all got pressure to win at least one playoff round.

Melo is probably staying at the 4 I hope.

I think they're hoping Andrea can shoot well and live up to his reputation as a shooter, so if you play him as a 4 or 5 he can step behind the 3 point line like Rasheed did. The spacing is there and he will get open shots if spaces and moved correctly.

Giving up another pick though, ugh. We did need to get rid of Novaks and cambys contracts but for Andrea, not so happy. Hopefully like last year my judgement for the off season moves are wrong haha

This isn't a reaction move. It's to replace sheed/cope/Kmart just in case. I think the was the wrong way to fill the hole they had, but we had to fill our roster with another big and a 3 point shooter. Andrea is a reputation shooter and the Knicks are hoping he can do better than he has recently

    @HowardBeckNYT
UPDATE: Knicks trade for Bargnani will NOT be approved by NBA tonight. As a result, teams will have to restructure under 2013-14 cap figures

The trade was contingent on getting it done tonight

Kidd, Vogel, or Thids will not be canned if they don't win a playoff series. Hell, I doubt Woodson will even be on the hotseat. Thids didn't have Rose. Vogel just took a young Pacer team to the brink with Miami and Kidd is in his first year.

If CAA truly runs the Knicks, Woodson is safe barring an epic collapse with an healthy team
