You conveniently don't remember saying that now? Sure! I've got nothing better to do so I will find it and embarrass you once again. 50-60% on Mark puts 50-40% of the blame on the D. Hardly the lions share of the blame. Here is what I said about momentum. I believe momentum does have an affect but it is just a feeling. It gets the players pumped up or lets them down. One drive or play does not end the game like Junc makes it out. A shift in momentum should not be an excuse for putrid play the rest of the game. How many times have you seen momentum shift back and forth in games? Good teams respond to shifts in momentum. Putting 50% of the blame on the D for the Titans loss when they allowed 14 points all game and blaming it on momentum is insane. They allowed 2 TDs. Why didn't the O get some momentum when they held them to 0 points off of 5 turnovers? It's the same story on the Victor Cruz play that put us down just 3 at halftime. That was the play that ended our season.
You just don't get it, do you? Out of that 95 drive march, do you know how much came from Tebow's legs? 54 yards. That's more than half the drive. Jets COULD have been in position to let Tebow run, instead of having to defend it. Either you have no fucking idea how defensive planning works, or you just don't want to acknowledge your gay bitch fucked it up.
Neither have Andrew Luck, Sam Bradford, RG3, Kapernick, Schaub, Tannehill, Dalton, Phillip Rivers and about 20 other NFL quarterbacks and I would take them all over the bum we have now.
Like I thought, you made it up. 50-60 on mark, that means the rest on the D? wow! I think I should bow out now, there's really no point. You may want to start watching football. Luck RGIII, keep, Schaub, Dalton and Rivers have all won meaningful games as they have helped their team get to the playoffs and beyond. The O and mark get the bulk of the blame, my point all along has been the D wasn't blameless.
Pennington played two years under Schotty(who I never liked). Are there really enough numbers to sample? In those two years (bolded) he played in 25 games and threw 25 ints. Sanchez could easily accomplish that in 7 or 8 games under Sparano. YR._____GP_____INTs. '00______1_______0 '01______2_______0 '02______15______6 '03______10______12 '04______13______9 '05______3_______3 '06_____16____16 '07_____9_____9 '08______16_____7 '09______3______2 '10______1______0 So basically I don't see it. Schotty sucks for sure, but not because he designs passes that are prone to be intercepted. I think his offensive scheme is average at best and his play calling sucks.
 Since you can't even remember what you are arguing, go back and read your own post. It is what you have been arguing this whole time. You have not made a single argument about any other area of the team when you deflect blame from Sanchez and his FIVE TURNOVERS. Please go on and tell me how much blame you place on the special teams for blocking a FG, making a FG and pinning Tenn on their own 5, 8, 17, 19 yardline. I'd like one more big laugh before you go away for the weekend.
Pennington [post-injury] throws to OUT route = pick 6 in the waiting. [Schottenheimer's favorite calls, by the way] In short, Pennington post-injury was a classic textbook for zone defense; as Saban once put it, When Marino is throwing it, that old break on the ball shit don't work. But what if Pennington is throwing it? It works like magic. So how does Schottenheimer adjust to it? He doesn't. [LOL] Some OC he is.
Life is so clear on Monday mornings. In retrospect. With 20/20 hindsight. And even then it's complete bullsh*t. _
What was the TD/int ratio? Penny was a 65% passer, and was +1, both seasons. Why make shit up? (which we both know is why you left out the tds) Ps, he never put up Sanchez 32 scores, now did he? Not even in two seasons....
Zach, no. Bitch Beach, alleycat, and LTJF, say that the out route being Schittys favorite call, cant be proven, unless you put up play charts. Go back several pages..... So, we imagined it :rofl2:
p.S. after conceding that I couldnt put up play charts, none of the trolls, explained how Pennington became an INT machine when Schotty got here. Hmmmm.., maybe because it detracts from the Sanchez sucks myopia?
Zach. I know we split on Sanchez, but...eric Smith blowing contain, with the game kn the line,,,cant be blamed on a shitty QB. Its a shitty safety.
1. I know Eric Smith fucking sucks. 2. The point is, Jets DID NOT NEED TO BE IN THAT POSITION. 3. It is just like that in ANY sports you play; if you don't value the ball security, you are indeed worthless. If the QB throws picks at almost every critical situation, he's less than worthless. That's what Sanchez is - you cannot deny that. Tell me, how many times Tebow fumbled the ball away or threw a pick in Denver game. Tell me how many dumb picks Jake Locker - FUCKING JAKE LOCKER - threw during Titans game.
Yeah. I get it. I just spent a coupke hours yesterday, explaining the Save rule, to a 14 year old. Only to have Terry Collins, make my fucking point tonight. Yes, the Jets should not have been in that position. But they were, and the defense is the strregnth of the team. CLOSING MOMENT. Like interceptchez tossing 4 picks, but the 95 yard run.... Or the 99 yard Cruz play... Or 12 minutes to Matt moore. sanchez was not built(e.g, through drafts and coaching) to be the stregnth of the team. The defense is. In those instances, thats where the blame lies, because of organizational philosophy. Give me four first rounders after Sanchez....Ill drive the nails, and light the stake.
I talked to a Steelers fan tonight, who had more sense about the Jets, than most Jets fans do. He did not put all the blame on Sanchez, as many fans do. He noticed how the team had no talent last year, no offensive weapons, a terrible offensive coordinator and the distraction of Tebowmania. This is a Steelers fan. He said if Sanchez sucks now, it is all on the Jets for how they have handled him. I agree. It was a good talk. Nice to talk to a fan of another team who actually understands the game.
Last year isn't the only evidence. 2011 was up and down and ended terribly. 2010 was up and down and ended well. 2009 was terrible like 2012 and then ended well with Sanchez making few mistakes but not leading the O to very many points either. Seriously, what has Mark Sanchez done to date that suggests that he's capable of being a good enough QB to win in the NFL? I see two stacked teams that went 20-12 between them but would have gone 26-6 with a good QB at the helm and then the two weaker teams in 2011 and 2012 that went 14-18. There just isn't much there to suggest anything is going to change as long as Sanchez is the QB.
You seem to have trouble understanding your own point. Pretty hard for me to be wrong when you won't even stick to your own damn point of contention. I never argued that the out route wasn't Schotty's favorite call. To be honest I have no clue, although that would be fairly odd of any OC. Your argument that is in dispute is this(please read, this is the most important part of the post): That Schotty throws down the field and outside the numbers disproportionately(your words) to the rest of the league. All I wanted was you to back that up. You couldn't.
1 to 0 1 to 0 22 to 6 13 to 12 16 to 9 2 to 3 17 to 16 under schotty 10 to 9 under schotty 19 to 7 1 to 2 0 to 0 so we have 4 years that were pretty much 0s. 3 very good years and 4 years that were pretty even ratios. he threw 12 in 10 games in 03 so that would be his worst int to game ratio of his career. i dont really see solid data that brian schottenheimer was his issue. i think this might be one of those fantasy stats times the mythbusters would call this inconclusive or plausible.
