Damn, I thought you might be exaggerating those numbers until I found this. Belichick consulting the Gators a few years ago doesn't sound as ominous as it once did.
The primary moral failure in the Pats handling of Hernandez's release is the specific moment they chose to announce it under the circumstances. They went public minutes after he was arrested, before the arraignment. The problem is that it was clearly stated the charges would not be announced until Hernandez was standing in front of the judge shortly thereafter. Yes, the Pats organization are douchebags doing the best they can to appear like the good guy. If they were such nice guys though, how is it they had the confidence to get out ahead of the coming shit storm when they were legally supposed to have no knowledge of the severity of the charges? Sure, they would argue that it was unlikely to be a minor charge considering the show of force during the perp walk. That's a pretty flimsy excuse though if it were actually possible that Hernandez had any real chance to see the light of day again soon, to their knowledge. But of course they knew that wasn't the case long before the judge started reading off the charges. It also helped to know how deep in their pocket the media is to eliminate any chance of being called out for their blatantly unethical self-interest. They probably had the charges called into them straight from someone inside the police station moments after the bracelets clicked. They probably had a file on the double homicide open right on someone's desk. If they really had no inkling about his true recent history and if they didn't know what he was being brought in on before it was made public, how could they possibly release their $40 Million dollar investment that might potentially be in jail for a year at the most if convicted? It would never happen in a million years. The organizations engulfing need to release the man before anybody could say they employed a murder 1 defendant for a single minute forced them to implicitly expose their vicious amoral nature. Luckily for the Patriots though, most people will come away from it none the wiser. Look at those nice guys throw out the bad apple the second we all figured out that it was stale. Nothing wrong with that.
I really hope AH's cellmate is a 400lb Jets Fan with a raging case of herpes and likes to cuddle afterwards.
Okay, I hate the motherfuckers as much as anyone, but this is just stupidly myopic. Kraft is a major player in a billion dollar industry that affects directly and indirectly the economic well-being of tens of thousands of people throughout the country. He has responsibilities, and they extend beyond his family. That was the right thing for him to do, under very difficult circumstances. No need to kill him for that.
I agree with Toronto Jet. Kraft is a sorry scumbag. Kraft abandoned his wife on her deathbed in order to make sure he closed a business deal. You don't get any sorrier than that. There were 30 other owners who could have negotiated the lockout settlement. Kraft could have sent the team President to represent him and stayed in touch by phone. Kraft wanted to make sure that he protected his own interest. When I saw Jeff Saturday on TV hugging Kraft and talking about how much he admired Kraft, I almost puked. ~~~
no way man, you stay with your dying wife. there are plenty of guys who were there that could have handled that. this macaroni man just wanted to make sure nobody fucked him and he was able to get all the things HE wanted done done.
I think that is the easy thing to say from afar. We don't know what their relationship was and it wasn't like they were negotiating 24 hrs a day. His wife may have told him to get out and stop moping, we don't know? The only criticism I have of Kraft was picking up a 20 something yr old girlfriend so soon after the death of his wife.
The entire organization stinks from the head down. They have a laundry list of stains that continually get swept under the rug. The franchise, the NFL and the press are disgusting. Have fun with the kremlin Kraft Have fun with your wife and mistress BB Don't drop the soap Aaron Put down the camera BB It's TEBOW time  redemption
So let's see: Rex talks shit and has his private sex life exposed, and is thus a horrible bad guy. But BB can cheat his way to titles, push cameramen, walk off the field after losing a Super Bowl without the hand shake, and cheat on his wife, and is somehow a good guy? Bob Kraft was so stricken with grief over his wife's death, that three months later was fucking a model in her 20's.
I think you've confused nice person with good coach... Nobody thinks Rex is a horrible guy and not many people think BB is a great guy. In fact, I'd bet more people like Rex than BB. Most people think BB is a great head coach and many think Rex is not a good head coach. That's two very different things.
They'd be wrong about BB being great and rex not good. BB was made by Brady and rex is a top 10 HC in this league, even last year when he had nothing he had us in the race until that Tennessee game. he is an outstanding HC
When he was getting processed, this fool asked the sheriff what if he gets thirsty??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That's your opinion. I wasn't sharing my opinion. I was answering the original posters assertion that most people think Rex is a horrible person and BB is a great person, and I disputed that. A lot more people think BB is a great coach than think Rex is even a good coach, whether you think so or not. I'm not going to argue with you over your opinion.
A lot of people also think that BB is a cheater. A lot of people think he cheated his team, fans, city, the NFL, oh and on his wife.
Rex is pure trailer park trash. People will submerge themselves up to the neck in a latrine and think they are smelling daisy's. I don't see any problem with this. Good for Bob Kraft for getting on with his life after a what appears to have been a very good marriage.
This guy can never be in general population. At least for the first 15 years of his life. People are going to get on him, and rumor has it he dropped the soap this morning :X
FLASH !!! Just heard on the news that Hernandez' third accomplice has been arrested. Ernest Wallace is in police custody.
