Keeping Garnett and Pierce will only keep the Celtics farther away from a championship, they will be moved. Im sure they will have no problem trading within the east, these guys only have 2 years left, and im sure Boston wouldnt mind sticking a thorn into the side of the Heat.
Brooklyn offering Three first-round picks for KG and Pierce. Highway robbery for Boston if you ask me. KG and Pierce are almost done.. What a stupid trade.
Its a good trade for both sides, it would make the Nets instant Contenders and the Celtics more picks to rebuild with. If the Nets dont make a move they will remain a 4-5 seed for the next couple years and never win a title.
Instant contenders? How? KG just had his worst year since his 2nd season in the league. As did Pierce. There are strong indications that these guys are going to decline even more. In two or three years when Pierce, KG, and Joe Johnson are gone with an aging Deron Williams -- who are they going to have? No body. No draft picks. No stars. This is a dumb trade for BK.
I'd bet a lot of money that the Nets won't win a title with KG and the Fake either. It would be a very stupid and costly move for the Nets. tonight's draft starting soon, very topsy turvy, no one knows what to expect most likely scenario is noel first, then oladipo, but lots of trades being discussed
Hopefully it's exciting. I would like to see a lot of trades, something to keep me interested. Also -- Did it ever come out what 2 players Cleveland offered along w/ the 1st overall for K. Love? I agree with Simmons that Oladipo is the safest and best pick in the draft. Noel coming off that injury worries me a lot.
Anthony Bennett - UNLV! Whoa!!! Victor Oladipo - imho, great pick. Followed by the arrogant smurf Stern's reaction to the booing greeting him at the podium: "I can't hear you..." - smug little shit...along the line of another little shit, Gary Bettman, another little slug cut from the same 'greasy' cloth... TV remote....
oh jesus fucking christ espn, it wasnt bad enough that you put steven a smith on tv now you want me to watch this fucking ass clown shane battier?
Great night for UNLV !!! Didn't expect AB to go #1 overall but it's not just my bias here talking here but Bennett has the best upside of anyone in the draft. His defense needs improvemnet but at 6'7 he can play outside and inside. Len is soft and will be a bust, Noel has no offense. I'm stoked for my school and our program but most importantly for AB because he is a good kid who will now play with one of the best young PG's in the game. He'll also team up with his friend and fellow Canadian Tristan Thompson.
