It doesn't matter what I think, it happens all the time. They don't have a death penalty in MA which means the most he would get is life and then there would be appeals. If they can get a guaranteed 30 years I predict they will take it.
pft is reporting he is being investigated for a 2012 double murder. on my phone so i cant paste the link. my 5000th post.
Here we go.. "Connecticut authorities arrested another man in connection to the investigation that led to a former NFL player Aaron Hernandez being charged with murder. The arrest comes about 24 hours after Hernandez was led out of his North Attleboro, Mass., home in handcuffs. Carlos Ortiz, 27, was charged as a fugitive from justice and has waived extradition to Massachusetts, authorities say. Prison records show Ortiz is being held on $1.5 million bail at a Hartford jail. Officials declined to release the allegations against Ortiz, who is scheduled to return to court on July 23." http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/06/27/texts-video-cited-in-murder-charges-against-hernandez/
I'll be interested in monitoring patriot's ability to attract free agents or sign their draftees going forward after the lack of loyalty shown to AH in this situation. Innocent until proven guilty yet patriots didn't even give AH the benefit of the doubt or the benefit of a trial? the patriots way?
FA are attracted my money and years of contract, not by how well a perspective team covers them in a criminal investigation. The move to release AH was an obvious one, but it was the right thing to do and Pats should be praised for it.
Yes, even when the Pats ignore the fact that they're drafting a gangster the media and fans should still suck their dicks after they release him for being the gangster all teams knew he was. keep strokin 'em.
Maybe I didn't explain it right. Drafting him in the first place knowing about his background was a low move, no arguments there. I was talking about their current actions re present situation. Releasing him was obvious and the only move they could've made, but it was the right thing to do nonetheless.
It was the wrong thing to do. It was a panic move that showed they knew he was a bad apple for years. They didn't just draft him they gave him a huge new contract with big guaranteed money. By unloading him almost immediately it proves they knew what he was about not just when they drafted but when they extended him to a very big contract. Are you telling me the Pats didn't know what Hernandez was all about a few years in when they resigned him? If they didn't why the panic now?
So police have now impounded a car they believe was rented by Hernandez during the double murder in Boston in 2012. Clearly the Patriots turned a blind eye and just valued this kid's ability on the field. Them cutting him so quickly and oddly signing Tebow just a week before tells us they knew more than they led on.
They didn't just ignore it when it was a pure value judgment when they drafted him. They lived with him for a few years and determined he was worth a huge up front pay day.
goodell is panicking at the thought that he let a dude who murdered 2 ppl in july of 2012 play football after that
first of all, blood tattoo was probably not a good idea, douchebag move. secondly if this piece of shit was in any way shape or form worried about his fiance or daughter he wouldnt hvae been out driving around at 330 in the morning killing people.
Quite the year: 1) Investigation into double homicide in Boston last July 2012 2) Suspected in shooting Connecticut man in the face at Florida strip club February 2013 3) Reported incident with him and Jets fan in Rhode Island and there was a gun March or April 2013 4) Arrested and charged with 1st degree murder in Boston June 2013 This guy is straight up criminal
Aaron Hernandez’s arrest by police earlier today has already launched a new meme. Now stop it. Guide to proper ‘Hernandezing’: 1. Must be a white t-shirt. 2. Hands must be together in the back, as if cuffed. 3. Red shorts is always a plus. 4. Need dour expression. No smiling. 5. Extra credit for being met at the door by your friends, and then being led out and loaded into a car. Having said this, I find the entire new craze in very poor taste. Although anything that takes the wind out of Tebowing … http://www.sportsgrid.com/nfl/new-craze-hernandezing-is-just-wrong-isnt-it/
Matt Light speaking out about how he never agreed with Ahern. BB had no clue there was internal strife.
