I put the odds of him doing life without at 49% right now. odds on favorite is he cops to 2nd degree and gets 20 with parole in 10. if the d.a. has his boys but no weapon the defense will plea it out. the prosecutors will make a deal rather than any risk of losing a high profile case.

There have been instances where individuals have enjoyed the correctional facilities, so to assume that life without parole is a "punishment" is a bit premature. Hernandez might enjoy his stay so i'm not going to call it a "punishment" just yet. I will refer to it as a "sentence" for the time being.

I agree, and laws change continuously, for example, recently as of last year "life without parole" for juveniles is no longer allowed according to the Supreme Court. He is 23 as of now, I would not be surprised if Massachusetts were to outlaw "life without parole" within his lifetime.

police have evidence he was buying rolling papers like an hour before he killed the guy

i hope the defense doesnt try to say he was high during the murder so he isnt liable

Right now, your odds are about as accurate as Vegas odds about the success of an NFL team before free agency or training camp.

It was an arraignment. That's like the OTAs of a criminal trial.

    Basically 1. you aren't getting #2 in a shooting, and 3 isn't happening either.

And I dont wanna hear the excuse that no one saw it coming, this guy was quite a talent on the Gators. The 31 other NFL teams all took a look at this guy and immediately realized this guy was a major troublemaker, the Patriots missed the ship completely, how does a team that is so perfect miss the ship completely? yet all 31 other teams realized this guy is bad news,

The Patriots have no credibility anymore, and if you argue against that your a moron. How is it possible that the entire league saw right through this guy, yet the Patriots missed it completely?

There is no explanation for it, none at all.

I'm very messed up by this entire episode. I'm happy that the Pats lost Hernandez for the season. I'm sad this kid with a great future ahead of him is a dick head of epic proportions who destroyed Lloyd's life and forever put a pale over his family.

I think the Pats suck for canning him before the Justice system has played out. Seems very tacky and it has to send a chill through the locker room, especially the criminal players who now know the team will sell them out in a Nano second if it impacts their image in the least.

Is there some irony that the Ravens who stood behind their murdering son, Ray Lewis, beat the Pats in the last SB? If so should the Jets sign Hernandez?

As much as a try and separate the compassionate human being from the hard core Jets fan it's hard to suppress the smile that creeps up the corners of my mouth when I think about what this does to the Pats organization.

It will be interesting to see if the Commish, compensates the Pats on the cap. If he does should the Commish and Kraft be brought up on a RICO charge?

In the meantime I'm watching the tape of the Jets SB 3 win on one screen, A portrait of a serial killer on another screen and the longest yard on a third. If we can't sign Hernandez, take Mean Machine and give the points.

eh, as much as I want to bash the pats on this. they took him in the 4th. there is nothing to say he would have went undrafted. lets not forget also that the hoodie and urban meyer are bff. you have to figure a.h. came with urban's blessing. now if you want to criticize u.f. for the less than upstanding citizens they have had come out under meyer that would be fair

It was stated by the DA during the arraignment, some black and reds or something like that but when the DA read it he added that these are rolling papers for mj.
