But one of the reasons behind (arguably the main reason) reason for presumed innocence is so a man doesn't lose his job while hes on trial for a crime he may or may not have committed. I understand he's a public figure, I understand its a very serious charge, I understand NFL players are role models. I just dont like the principle and I dont like the team. Even just the way they did it..... That quickly, they obviously already had their PR guy write a statement last week. Its arrogance, at least thats how I read it. You see what I mean?
Damn they got him cold if everything the prosecution says can be proven. The level of detail they have is amazing.
It's the patriots trying to act superior to the rest of the nfl I like the decision though as much as I hate the team
The Pats just took a 12mil cap hit to cut a guy that was an integral part of their most recent success. They've always been haughty and arrogant, but I also think it's possible that they know something that we don't. Hernandez was quickly charged with murder and five other charges, and we haven't heard a peep about the other two suspects. Doesn't sound like a guy that is being charged on weak evidence to me.
Exactly. The Pats, as well as the public, are allowed to look at the circumstances and judge the guy. At this point it is beyond a reasonable doubt using common sense that this guy is a bonehead and a fuck-up. We don't need a court to convict him to know that much. And on the same lines, an acquittal wouldn't change that at all.
Goodell practically gave Mike Vick a welcome back party. Im saying if he's aquitted in a non-OJ kind of way. Which seems less and less likely the longer this DA goes on at an arraignment hearing, lol. Dude does seem kinda screwed. But, if it turns out that there is doubt (actual doubt) on his culpability, he will be back. Im speaking completely hypothetically, if that wasn't clear. Dude does seem screwwwed. Ive never seen an arraignment so damning. Usually it charges, bail, remand, a couple cursory details, ruling. This dudes like going hard, already. Hernandez looks completely blind-sided.
ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk 2m Prosecutor: Shell casing was found in the car Hernandez rented. It matched the casings found at the scene. #itsover ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk 4m Prosecutor says Hernandez's home video shows person emerge from car with a gun and walk through Hernandez's house with the gun. ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk 11m It sure sounds like the other guys in the car with Hernandez and Lloyd have cooperated with the investigation.
