As others have said, the Patriots must know more than we do. It's a good move, considering the circumstances.
sign this beast..........I kid. Glad they got the fucker. I hate when pro athletes find ways to get away through crimes they should serve time for. This guy is dumb as bricks and I think they charged him with murder, dude didnt even have time to put a shirt on so they just arrested him by storming in
12.5 mil in dead money and a 8.4 mil cap hit this year but they probably can afford it as they are rarely near the cap.
Saw on twitter that Hernandez was given a 12.5 million signing bonus and now that he's cut that's 12.5 wasted.
From what I read the Patriots wont get any money back, I think they had to wait until hes charged. An arrest doesnt justify it, hell the charges havent been announced. I think this was a great move by Kraft, it will earn the Patriots a lot of respect.
On a side note, the Patriots must know a lot more than the general public does. I was reading on twitter that NFL teams have security departments and are in touch with police authority. They must known that Hernandez is probably gonna serve a good amount of time in jail.
Well..maybe not. Ray Lewis copped a plea to obstruction in a double murder and got probation. It depends on who actually did the murder and whether or not Hernandez cops a plea if it wasn't him.
They don't know shite. the Pats are just eliminating a distraction immediately rather than supporting the player they selected until proven guilty.
https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/349902267127828481 Aaron Hernandez, with three years of service, has to go through waivers. Should know tomorrow at 4 p.m. if someone claims him.
