To get this back on topic a bit has anyone heard any updates lately? I saw a video on YouTube showing dogs walking around his property, a locksmith, a guy with a crowbar, etc. all going around his property but haven't seen any other updates yet. Or just conjecture and hearsay works for me.
Whose fault is that? it's not mine, I can't help it posters are so infatuated w/ me they always need to discuss me.
Hobbes, seriously?! With your head so far up Mark's ass you can diagnose tonsillitis just be looking, you really shouldn't be passing judgments.
The conversation is not about Pats failures; frankly with their consistent success I'm not sure "failure" is the right word in the first place. We are talking about perception of the team created and maintained by the media despite less than classy ways of the late. Try to keep up.
Cmon man, if a little ballbusting, is being judgemental, you need to run out for some Pamprin. In the future, I promise to use the /sarcasm tag. OK?
Junc, it seems like we've become the belles of the Ball..... I havent seen this much hate, since the Germans marched into Czechoslovakia.
They are searching a pond near his house now.. Cops decked out in full scuba gear.. Most likely looking for a weapon..
What else would it be then? Do you think if the Patriots' history since 2001 was wiped out of existence that they'd still be getting this favorable treatment? It was a joke of a franchise for most of the years prior to 2001. If the Jets win a couple of Super Bowls in the next few years then perception of the team will change. The Patriots have been one of the NFL's best teams for 12 seasons. That's a long time to be competitively relevant. Still crying about that huh? How many Super Bowls did the cheating Patriots cheat the Jets out of anyway? I thought New Yorkers were tough. I was going to say Francesca but Cimini is an even better example. Borges has embraced his role as the media villain and contrarian on the Patriots beat. He knows he's hated by people who keep reading his stories.
When ever does calling out a team for cheating equate to animosity that one's own team didn't win the SB instead? It's no coincidence that the Patriots haven't won a title since the SpyGate scandal broke. To assume that any Jets fan who calls out the Patriots for illicitly winning three titles is thinking about any teams except for the Rams/Eagles/Panthers during their respective SB appearances is absurd and distracts from actual the problem: New England's unparalleled penchant for breaking the rules.
I think it's just that, a coincidence. A highly funny coincidence to me that I use to poke fun at my friends that are Patriots fans. Just a coincidence to me, but a funny one nonetheless. The Pats have had success after Spygate, just not a SB. But SB are hard to come by and there are many reasons outside of Spygate that are the reasons the Pats haven't won a SB.
No you're right... it doesn't sound whiny at all for people to make Spygate comments after six full seasons, two Super Bowl appearances, and the best overall record in the NFL since 2007. Not one bit. I don't know what I was thinking. What are the other "rules," plural, they've broken by the way?
Well I don't want to divert too much from this thread but there were certainly built in advantages to Spygate. You can't just say they haven't missed a beat since then because they were able to build the franchise during the years in question. They made multiple FA signings and were able to benefit because of the advantages they may have gained during it. It's entirely possible they don't get a guy like Randy Moss or Corey Dillon if they aren't breaking the rules to their advantage. The bottom line is nobody will ever know what advantage the Pats had because the NFL in a save face move destroyed the evidence which would have exonerated or destroyed the Pats. We're left to speculation and the only fact we know is that the NFL fined them a million bucks and took a draft pick from them. You can spin it anyway you like but they are and will forever be cheaters and that's not an opinion, that's based on the punishment from the NFL.
On one hand..I can understand being annoyed when people try to taint the accomplishments(IE Championships). That's an awful feeling for a fan.You experienced your team in pandemonium through the heat of the moment. To have it in question & up for debate is difficult to endure. On the other..it fascinates me how Patriot fans continually try to deflect spy gate by minimizing it,spreading the guilt & throwing it back in Mangini's/Jets faces..as if THEY are somehow the wrongdoers. The Jets tried to keep it as a private matter, the Patriots rep wanted to get physical & that's when the NFL/Media found out about it. Yet we are whiners & Mangini's a "Rat". Heh.Actually that was great for me. You were combining my 2 favorite things. The Jets & the rock band Ratt.
