Has Dalton ever put up 32 scores in a season?

Oh, wait, are you using team stats, or individual stats?

Or are you so blinded by hate, that you are actually blaming 2012, on Sanchez?

    Or is it your Genolove?

Wow. Suck a dick? That wasnt nice...

I guess naming a receiver not named AJ Green, or the GREAT TE, was too much to ask?

And yes, Mrs.Dalton, Sanchez will always be more accomplished than Dalton, until Dalton starts....winning playoff games.

Sorry. (p.s., aside from playoff wins, which QB has a higher single season scoring mark...?)

And, P.S....wasnt this a Jets/cincy discussion, So, you're making this a De facto Sanchez/Geno argument.....sorry, Geno may not ever accomplish Sanchez benchmarks. I hope he does, when its right for the team, but.,,,I wont tell you to go suck a dick, when it happens.

Ray Maualaga? Nah, Geno Atkins is the man. 12.5 sacks & 39 tackles and then the underrated, never injured ironman Michael Johnson who had 11.5 sacks and 52 tackles in 2012. Add Wallace Gilberry's 6.5 sacks and those THREE PLAYERS ALONE had more sacks than the entire Jet team had in 2012. And that doesn't include Carlos Dunlap's 6.0 sacks which would've led the Jets in 2012.

    Bengals: 51 sacks, 46 sacks allowed, +5
NY Jets: 30 sacks, 47 sacks allowed, -17

We had Mo Wilkerson with 36 tackles. After Mo we didn't have a DL with more than 27 tackles (DeVito).

As for Maualaga, I'd still take Harris.

You can argue whether or not the Jets are a better team, but "head & shoulders" better? Nope. Not yet anyway.

I'm using individual stats from LAST year. You know, the most relevant year God freaking damn, are you receiving money from Sanchez to endorse him?

A large majority of 2012 can be blamed on Sanchez. It's quite obvious

    :eek:fftopic:

please don't keep this going, and if you must we got a thread for that take it over there.

    back to the schedule!

so... I'd say given the set up winning 5 before the bye gives a good amount of credence to playoff hopes. Our QB will be more adjusted (regardless) and our defense will have found its niche. winning 4 or 5 in the last 7 seems realistic unless the team just died on Ryan.

That obviously means in addition to beating TB,BUF,and TEN the Jets need to take some against teams that have had better records than them.

Putting optimism aside and banking on the idea that they get 4 loses, which two games besides those give them the best chance to win?

I say NO (offense is used to a Ryan defense and I believe their o line isn't that great) and Pit (seems on down trend) Atlanta is the least likely win possible all year... kind of hoping the don't embarrass themselves.

Sorry. Should have known not to get into it with a TROLL.

Personally, we can start out 3-1 and end up 4-5 at the bye. And that's fine. The schedule softens up greatly.

We have a good shot of beating both New Orleans and Pittsburgh. Pats, we always seem to get embarrassed in our second matchup. Bengals, I'd be optimistic if we were at home. Atlanta...yeah, no. We win there, we make the playoffs.

this will be difficult season. can see team starting off very slow and then maybe surprise some teams late. am not expecting much anything better than 6-10

9 games before the bye, on paper should be toss ups or favored in 2 of them, BUF and TEN. If we can make it to the bye with a winning record, we are golden. That means 5-4 and then a 4-3 after the bye gets you at 9-7.

Right now though, I think it's more likely we slide into the bye at 3-6 or 2-7. And then that means going 6-1 or 7-0 down the stretch to get a winning record. Still a while for rosters and things to change, would be able to try and take a more informed guess at this in August.

With how tough our schedule is, I will be happy with 4 wins before the bye. Our schedule softens up considerably and we get shitty opponents (Raiders, Browns, Panthers, etc...) afterwards. If we can just get that magic 4, I believe we will make the playoffs.

These thoughts are a positive light shed on generalizations....

Team Jets: We have been the laughing stock for 2 years now so NO ONE will 'see us coming', if indeed we come (sp). Every year there is a least one team that comes out of nowhere and holds on for a playoff spot. It's not unheard of. Can we possibly go 9-7 and grab the last WC spot? If so, Rex is in and our 'franchise QB' seems to shine in these road game moments. Who knows, maybe Cleavland and Miami will pull there starters the last few games!

Team Defense: With Rex bailing out on his HC responsibilities and taking over the defense the Jets will have a strong, possibly dominating defense. Add Cromartie relishing his new roll as the top dog in NY shutting down the opponents top receivers, add Sheldon Richardson providing Rex with his first true pocket collapsing threat up the middle since big Jenks, add Milliner as the top DB in the draft, add Barnes as a very good pass rushing OLG, and add Coples in his new multiple fronts, and Rex may just have the ingredients to dial up a true band of lunatics circa 2009. Far from a guarantee, but certainly reasons to be semi-optimistic.

Team Offense: The wild card in all this. But add Morningwood as our (possibly) best OC yet, add Sanchez coming into a WCO system that he's at least familiar with and can't possibly play any worse than last year plus a young Geno Smith nipping at his heals, add several new solid offensive lineman, and add Chris Ivory that can run the ball more than 3.5 yards before falling over. Plus add in the problems that our #1 nemesis is having with the Gronk and the Shooter and we may crack the top 20 in offense. Don't need to be number one, just need to put up more points than Rex's defense allows.

Special Teams: Not much to write out here except we do have Joe McKnight, the top punt returner in the NFL, and a new STCO who's spent the last 5 seasons learning from the best and is chomping at the bit to make his own mark.

OK, I know at least 5 TGG members will spend the next 10 minutes tearing this apart but I've listed at least a few reasons to be positive and hope we can somehow grab the last WC spot. After that, it's GAME ON! If you don't believe me just go back in time to 11:07pm on January 29th, 2011 and ask Bill Belicheck when he was shaking Rex's hand in the middle of Gillette Stadium!

Of course it's obvious. All you need to do is watch the replays of the games if you have them on DVR and just look at the way he handled himself in the pocket. It's mind-boggling to think you're watching a 4 year starter. He gave us some of the most sub-par play at the position in the history of the league. For Christ's sake, the fucking guy was being compared to Jamarcus Russell and Stoney Case.

STONEY FREAKIN' CASE!!! When was the last time you heard THAT name??

If that doesn't tell people all they need to know about Sanchez' individual play in 2012 I don't know what does.

Oh, so Case, had an OC that was never, or never will be an OC. And was throwing to Schillens,Cumberland, gates,Gilyard,Rueland, and no throws ro the backs, consodering that cast.

Look, either you are Adam Scheins troll account, or a dipshit that takes the bills fan seriously.

Sanchez has a shitload of flaws, and things to be blamed for..,2012,aint one of them.

So tell me, whose offense is Sparano coordinating this year?

So now Sanchez is absolved of everything from 2012 because of sparano? That's extra special!

forget about the fact he folded up like a 6 year old whenever there was even an inkling of pressure, threw the ball blind off his back foot numerous times up as jump balls.

its all on sparano. its such an idiotic way to look at things.

All I can say is, you're going to look even more foolish than you already do, when they give Sanchez the reins next season and he inevitably shits the bed again.

The guy isn't a good QB. Open your eyes. Good QB's don't require the laundry list of excuses you hang your hat on. You sound ridiculous.

I am most looking forward to the Carolina game because by that time Sanchez will not be starting and Rex will be on his way out if he names Mark the starter. I can get the tickets at a low price and not see Sanchez play. Win, Win, Win.......

    No. Sparano, holmes out.Keller,out,Hill out,

Even Esiason said no QB could be successful in that circumstance...and he doesnt like Sanchez.

That many vriables, and you can make a QB judgement, really?

2011. There are valid arguments, 2012, not so much,
