I don't know if anyone is paying attention to this but, NFL.com is keeping really quiet about this. There's one post (at least on my phone) and they keep updating it saying the least possible. I haven't seen anything on it about him destroying evidence or anything.

Now if I remember correctly, in the Goodson case, which is much much smaller than this, there was multiple articles, and a new one on every update.

The dead man is His girlfriends sister's boyfriend.

    He is looking insanely guilty.

The issue is we have too many fans that are giddy that a Pat may have murdered someone and looking at how it can benefit the Jets. I find that line of thinking sad, this is all fresh info and the first thing people think about is "how can it benefit my team?". There will be a time to discuss that part of it down the road, right now they are trying to find out if Hernandez murdered someone or was part of the murder. I hate to break it to you guys but that's bigger than football.

There is no doubt he is guily of something. If not the murder itself then trying to cover it up which makes him an accomplice anyway.

Either way the guy is dead. Whether Hernandez did it or not isn't going to change that fact, so we might as well root that Hernandez did it. It will shit on the whole Patriots organization, and after everything the Jets have faced over the last year, it's good to finally see something negative hit the Patriots. Nobody's saying they are happy the dude is dead. It's not looking too good for Hernandez right now, so if he did it, he should be convicted. The Patriots need to be exposed for the scum they are. Destroying evidence is pretty damning evidence in itself. The dude is involved somehow I want him punished for it.

if he literally smashed it hes a fool. They'll most likely will still be able to retrieve w/e it captured. Figuring out a way to corrupt the system was a better approached but a destroyed security system screams guilty.

I tried to catch the NFL network last night to see if they talked about it at all or just glossed over it. Going to be busy tonight (going to a CFL game pre-season game haha!) so I won't catch it but, honestly, it speaks volumes how they handle issues like this with the Patriots over other teams.

Can you imagine if this were not during a BREAK between OTAs and training camp? The mere word "circus" (along with the Tebow sideshow) couldn't begin describe Patsville. Big whiff there Buffalo Biff.

I'm with you on this one junc.

And instead of gleefully celebrating the tragedy that's befallen the Patriots like the rest of the heartless buzzards here, let's you & I look on the bright side in finding solace and noting with pride that our team, the Gang Green team, is killer-clean:

    Buffalo Bills: O.J. Simpson

    Miami Dolphins: Jimmy Wilson

    New England Patriots: Aaron Hernandez

New York Jets: The only Jet involved in a 'murder' per se was Mark Sanchez murdering whatever chance we had against Tennessee.

    :breakdance:

But fwiw, I DO hear what you're saying.

We all hate the Pats but under no circumstances would I root for them to have players murdering people. That doesn't make me happy and ti is terrible for the sport.

more nonsense just to be contrary. none of us are detectives on the case. we aren't investigating the crime or responsible for the crime, so finding out the truth is irrelevant.

beyond that, this is a football website, and specifically an NFL discussion in the NFL forum, so we discuss the incident from that perspective.

that doesn't mean people are devoid of social concern or don't care about justice. that is simply a different discussion. if you prefer that discussion, start a thread about it in the bullshit forum. here we are discussing it from the actual football perspective and what his potential absence means.

And again, as an adult, I have the ability to compartmentalize things.

It is no doubt tragic that someone was murdered.

    Very sad.

    Awful, in fact.

    Full stop.

    However.

If a member of a hated rival turns out to be the perpetrator of the crime, then I see no problem with seeing the silver lining in that.

I didn't murder the guy, I didn't root for it to happen, I am not impacted by it any more than any of the other 1000s of murders and violent crimes that occur each day (as sad as that is for civilization).

Two completely different looks at the same situation.

It's called being a human but to folks like you a football game is more important than life itself.

You guys can feel any way you want but it's wrong to celebrate this like we just beat the pats in a big game.

He will find out first hand that most "tight-ends" do well in prison. The guy will be okay!

This is a football forum. God forbid people discuss football. Theres probably plenty of forums that deal with other realms of society where you can push your holier-than-thou bullshit. Maybe you should consider going there?

yes, I accept your admittance that you cannot dispute what has been said so you just continue to deflect.

Some things are bigger than football, it's shocking I know but it's true. It would be a great thing if people acted like adults in situations like this. Unfortunately folks like you can't.
