No. Bullshit. You, Ac, and the Pro Start Geno crowd dont like to have the obvious stated. Thats really the difference. You dont like your suppositions challenged. The people that support Sanchez, want Geno to be successful. The Sanchez bashers want Sanchez to fail, because they are in the new phase of Tebowmania, Genomania....for what good reason, I dont know.
I'm sure you're a good fan and have wonderful reading comprehension. You hate Sanchez. It's ok. I hate brussel sprouts. One of the only vegetables I hate. But one I admitted it, I felt relieved. Let it flow. _
Dude-I'm Italian and a really good cook. When I take a dump--the whole HOUSE knows it. Oh, my sh*t stinks to high heaven, believe you me. _
Ok. Not a hater. genoballwasher. You are, in fact both. Hey...its not a bad thing to have an opinion. But dont be a milquetoast about it.
You're suppressing stuff and it's going to lead to undue stress. Seriously, let it go. You'll be healthier for it. I'm almost a doctor, trust me. _
Not going to be baited. Anyways, I'm hoping that Mark just decides not to do it. First year his status as starter is in question
See, stuff like that is going to cause you stress. You don't "dislike his style of play". That's bull. You think he is hot garbage and that he sucks azz and is a piece of sh*t. You don't just "dislike his style of play". Seriously. _
Dude, make it easy on yourself. There is a cadre of guys, that for some unknown reason, think Sanchez is the Antichrist, and GENOs shit doesnt stink, and wish the team would flush the 5 overall pick, and (60 million dollars down the drain, to see their boy, under center. And...any fair reading of these threads, shows..,they are really nasty about it. The Genomaniacs, compared to rhe Tebowmaniacs, are like the Nazis, rolling through Woodstock.
Haha okay Hobbes. Im sure you are glad you got someone to join your bandwagon. Im ready for debate anytime Hobbes, you should know this. Im not sure what the obvious is? Ive told you this countless times- I want whats best for the team first and foremost. Then far off in the distance, me being a fan of a player comes 2nd. Because I watch football... I know that quality QB play is how you have sustained success, and the best chance at a SB. After watching everygame for 4 years, I dont think Sanchez can be the guy to fulfill the role of a quality QB. Even if in optimal circumstances, I dont see him being better than a 12-15 QB. I think Geno Smith presents HOPE for a QB that can be better than that. He very well could shit the bed... Yes. But I think that he presents a better chance at being a quality top 10 QB. So in turn, I will root for the team to do well... But because my agenda is wins and loses and sustained success, I will root for the guy I believe will be the best man for the job. If Sanchez is the best man for the job, and shows he can be a top 10 QB, then hell yes, I will root for him. You just dont get it, Hobbes. You think everyone is against Sanchez and that its you against the world. No... people just think Geno Smith is the better option for the Jets, specifically long term. Once you grasp that, you will have a hard time finding people to call "haters".
Ahhh, not so fast. I'm not so sure Geno ISN'T the man. I didn't want to draft him, but the moment we did, I became a fan for life. Because I'm a Jet fan. I still think Sanchez can still be the MAN, but if he isn't, I hope Geno can be. This isn't Sanchez versus Tebow--this is Jet QB versus Jet QB. Best man wins. If it's Geno, then he's my favorite QB. Not sure he'll do it though. I still think Sanchez has a second life coming--I'm not ready--as a fan to give up on him. But if Geno beats him out--he's my man. _
Geno Smith? Based on what? Not having played for Schottenheimer, or Sparano? Or suffering Massive injuries to the skill olayers? Or his record of playoff wins?
You and I agree on all those points. The Genomaniacs, want no part of Sanchez whatsoever.... Be fair. Read the posts, cut Sanchez, lets suffer through Genos growing pains. Turn it over to Geno, let him get a year. Fucking ridiculous.
Of course, Laxins soft memory ignores Junc,TDK Edge and the rest that actually see the circumstances in context.
Based on the fact that Ive studied the draft for months and think he has what it takes to be a good NFL QB. Whoa, maybe thats too much actual football though. Because not once have I ever seen you actually discuss Geno Smith or Mark Sanchez as a player... Just the circumstances they've been in. I try to actually watch football and study the game as much as possible... It seems like you on the other hand would prefer to study the circumstances and the box score.
Hardly. I think cimini is an idiot. Ive said from the day they signed Garrard, Sanchez' job was not in question. That long? How about after 18 years of football? Guys make it to the NFL on talent. Not specifics, and in Sanchez case you are talking about a guy with big, strong hands...its a part hes taken for granted his whole life. (go back to hard knocks, watch him snatch 50 yard passes from schotty in one hand) At this level, you need someone to fix it. Clearly Cavanaugh wasnt that guy. But...thats why Lee was as telling as Rex....Sanchez, was fine tuning. Geno, was working on Basics. No other way to read it. Thats not a knock on Smith Its minimal observation.
