That's what I was going to say before I read your post. Things change. Sanchez would be a total moron to have that Jets West event at this point. Not saying that he isn't a moron, but it would be a huge mistake.
How about just stay in Florham Park and you just don't let the media in? What a groundbreaking discovery.
Yeah..if it was the Cheatriots all you would here is ho-hum. If the Jets stop talking three quarters of these hacks will be out of a job.
I have no problem with Smith skipping Sanchez' circle jerk. How's it been working the last couple years?
"No Comment" Ugh, what a fucking diva bust! Just shut up already you egotistical moron! I hope you like he CFL because you'll be playing backup for somebody on it next year! - every comment on PFT and NFL.com those guys are so ignorant it makes me want to cry. tears of laughter? sadness? pain? all of the above!
Finally........ Even friggin Cimini tweeted it today.if he sees it, how the hell can you guys not. Read Lees comments, then read between the lines. Sanchez, is (finally) learning to kepp his left hand on the ball. Geno, is still working on his footwork.... Its no knock on Smith, but any illusion about "competition" should have gone away when they inked Garrard.
cimini has a dog in the fight though. smith wins means its over for mark and a big storyline gone. mark wins and the qb controversy is still an easy write. and since they haven't separated and idzick has no investment in mark i'd say smith is even money or better to start game 1
It ain't over till its over. If they think he's the guy that should start they'll just say so. Your own personal interpretation isn't infallible truth. One could say the fact that its taken this long is indicative that Sanchez is in trouble, since he can't beat out a rookie handily. Or they look at this: "Yesterday was the first time he kept two hands on the ball and that's after nine OTA's and a minicamp." THAT LONG? No wonder he can't hold to the ball and has so many turnovers. and he didn't say anything about Smith not turning the ball over either. Must not be a problem. considering thats the biggest focus after last year Geno should have this in the bag!!! see? its easy to take something and fit towards what one believes is correct. And since when have you started to listen to Cimini?
The fact that Sanchez can't separate himself from Geno absolutely makes him a threat. The starter for the NYJ has yet to be announced
Idk, this may just be me, but I would like if he went... We all know that he wouldnt be learning from Sanchez directly, and any chance to develop some chemistry with our (very few) receivers is a good opportunity. Most of the "weapons" usually attend, and Geno's best interest might be to go and get those reps in with teammates.
If I were Geno Smith I would absolutely do this. Talk to the WRs, your OC, and QB coach that's it. Get accumulated to the playbook and terminology. No reason to talk to Sanchez really about what to do. Prob just call Garrard and get pointers from him
Lmao, I read today that Lee said Sanchez needs to work on ball security while Geno needs to work on footwork. Why do you believe Sanchez is finally learning to keep 2 hands on the ball? Because Lee said he needs to? Im 100% sure Sanchez has been told to do so in the past... Personally, Ill take the rookie that isnt a turnover machine and needs some work on his footwork over a 5th year vet who still has the same problem about ball security.
Yeah exactly, thats how Id go about it- strictly business. At this point it doesnt matter that its being held by Sanchez. It matters that it is being held and all of the players Geno would be playing with will be going.
Geno Smith is a rookie who needs a year or two to sit. Clearly not ready to start in the NFL. What I meant was, Sanchez just needs to play well and he will start. Simple as that. If Sanchez does not start, it will not be because Geno Smith "wowed" the coaches like Russell Wilson did. Just is not going to happen. It is all on Sanchez.
