Hey... when you are on your deathbed and realize that the years - YEARS - that you spent supporting one part of an entire government that undermined your very existence, will you then regret your efforts, or will you just let your conditioning kick in and curse the liberals for winning the false war of politics? Not saying that liberals will win, just saying that you will be offered a convenient choice of bad guys who put you where you end up. Wake up, WB. You don't have to live as a mushroom.
The US government makes money every day with machines and not people. They do it to try to disguise the national debt. They are the only government that is allowed to print US dollars, the standard for international trade. I don't think you even understand a tiny shred about the world. Now go jerk off to Lebron's intro. You are a typical idiot.
So the journalist who Snowden spoke with apparently has come out and said there is much more and this goes much deeper than phone records.
If you're going to do what the government has been doing for the last decade you better have a damn good reason and "you might not be safe otherwise" is not a damn good reason. There isn't a lot wrong with what the government did in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. It's the stuff they institutionalized afterwards that is the problem. The NSA budget should probably be cut by 90% at this point. It's laughable that the government is sweeping up as much data as it is but can't even set up a simple background check system for handgun purchases. Terrorists kill how many people each year in the US compared to handguns?
Nothing wrong with Iraq? Nothing wrong with who received defense contracts? There was a lot wrong with 911 before and after it happened
Iraq was late 2002/early 2003. I'm talking about the things that were done to tighten things up and fix infrastructure in late 2001 /early 2002. Iraq is a completely different story and one that is only peripheral to 9/11. It has to do with a failed alliance with Saddam that ended with the Gulf War and attempts to assassinate George H.W. Bush. Almost everything that was done after the middle of 2002 falls into the category of national security run amuck.
But its a fact that the Bush admin used 911 to push an already predetermined invasion of Iraq n a vulnerable us public.
I never bought into the whole free will personal responsibility thing. I recognize that hormones control me and contrails control hormones.
The longer you hold out and drop hints to the public the more money you make. Wjat's kind of funny is that the grand champion of human rights and free speech Russia is saying Snowden is a hero and is even potentially going to offer assulym him should HK waffle on it. Putin is like that bully who never punches you but instead knows your weaknesses and pokes at you mentally. In the last few weeks he has absolutely made Obama and the US look like fools starting with calling us out on supporting Al Qaeada in Syria and now this.
Russia, China, India, Japan and other countries are smelling blood in the water with the impending collapse of the dollar as the standard currency for international trade and it would only make sense for them to apply pressure on our government in a number of other areas. The US is vulnerable like we have not been since the 1700s and many countries are salivating at the idea of taking some advantage from it.
If the dollar collapses we'll have a world-wide depression. We're more likely to wind with a slow-inflation that leeches the value of the dollar away over the next generation. The only scenario that I see where the dollar collapses is if the government fractures completely and is unable to manage any of the normal day to day maintenance required. In that situation, well the dollar is the fiat currency of the US government. If the US government collapses the dollar will follow. The US has been cyclically vulnerable every generation or two. The only difference this time around is that nobody knows if the US government is stable or is a clown car headed into a brick wall.
The dollar has been collapsing for years and other countries are taking measures to avoid the depression that you think would be inevitable. They will abandon the dollar and also cease trade with the US until our country finds a solution to their stupidity. Stop thinking that our country runs the world anymore. It hasn't been true for a long time, and we aren't exempt to trade sanctions. There is nothing slow about the inflation we will experience and the value of the dollar will become nothing the moment it isn't the standard for international trade. We can only meet far less than paying off the interest on our national debt by printing money at breakneck speed. The dollar will collapse first. There is no way to stop it. Stop denying reality. The US has never been this vulnerable since they separated from England. Not even during the Great Depression. And we have already crashed through the brick wall. Now we have clown politicians and clown reporters telling us that somebody piled bricks in the street and that the clown car was defective. The engine just stopped running in front of a pile of bricks, and then caught fire for no reason. But it's cool, because the clowns will throw magic confetti on the engine and it will soon be as good as new.
I'm not sure any of the western economies could avoid a depression if they lost the US market and US imports at the same time. The Chinese definitely could not. The Russians are arguably in a permanent depression at this point with the .1% insulated by the poverty everybody else lives in. The Japanese have been in recession for two decades and only manage to avoid a depression by importing to the west and to the US in particular. Any advanced economy that ignores the US will collapse over a relatively short period of time. Some, like the Germans and Brazilians are insulated and self-sufficient enough to avoid a fast collapse but they'll get there eventually. The US dollar is not the world's reserve currency because other people like to prop us. It's the world's reserve currency because almost every other economy on earth is tightly tied to the US in one way or another. Remove the US from the equation and everybody else is back to 1930 in record time. If the government collapses you are right. Otherwise not. I'll stop denying reality when the rest of the world does. That's what it will take for the dollar to collapse before the government does. The dollar will immediately collapse when the government does of course. Really? Well as owner of the world's largest military and second largest nuclear arsenal I'd think we're nowhere near as vulnerable as we've been at various points in history. In fact, I'd say the risk of invasion by or economic dominance by another power are at their lowest points at the moment.
