I guess your understanding the words coming from a guy who has been treated like God since he was a pre-teen is on par with your understanding of exaggeration. I didn't cite specific quotes because I was talking about his entire mis-performance in front of the press for three days. It's not that they are good or bad. That's where your interpretation continues to fail. It's when they choose to be good or bad. Have a good night. Or bad, your choice. As always.
ESPN.com is saying Kidd really impressed them. Him and Deron were close and weren't they supposed to go as a package somewhere to Dallas or BK or something? I remember that being the speculations. Bill Simmons posted this article on Tim Duncan this morning. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/9362631/tim-duncan-part-1 I was afraid after reading the beginning he was going to use the Simpsons vs South Park analogy all the way through the article, but he doesn't. Includes some good videos too.
Kidd coaching the Nets would be a good move, IMO. He is very good at influencing people and leading by example. He has a profound effect on players on every team he's been on. I think he'd be a great fit there, and can help teach Dwill a thing or 2.
I disagree about Kidd, imo coaching is much deeper. You need to be able to call the right plays, timeouts, etc. Kidd has never coached in his life and for him to jump to head coach of an NBA team is risky. I personally wouldnt do it, but we will see. If he does get hired id definitely be interested to see how he coaches.
Spurs better win tonight. First home game since May 21st, basically 3 weeks ago. Its going to be a loud crowd tonight, thats for sure.
I don't like the Kidd hire. I guess it'll be popular with the fanbase, though. Reminds me of the Avalanche hiring Patrick Roy. Both have had legal problems.
Part 1 was laughable, typical Bill Simmons contradicting his past self Edit: this wasn't directed at you I'm just too lazy to find the link to part 1 in this thread (if it was posted) Edit 2: Should've scrolled up, I'm an idiot. Fixed.
Yeah but I mean at least he owns up and links to it. I like writers who acknowledge, yeah the get stuff wrong. Also link made me remember how good Kobe was and Dirk was before their titles in 09,10, and 11.
finally remembered to do vbookie for tonight http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=78014 9 PM (like all the weekday games) so still over 2 hours
When I was a kid I loved watching the Nets because of Kidd, so if he coaches there, good move or not, I'll be cheering for him/them to be successful.
SA dared Bosh to shoot early this game, SA won that dare. Bosh's shot is off. ABC has done a poor job showing us replays
Neal for 3 BANG! Spurs up 6 at half after a Parker ridiculous 3 and the Neal buzzer beater 3. The game is closer is than it should be for SA, but if their defense holds up they'll pull away. Wade has had a better half than Lebron it seems. First time in ages you could say that. Spurs D playing a big part in that.
