Great stat line by Rice, Lyon and Hawkins

    3 IP 6 hits, 4 walks, 1 K and 7 ER

Harvey obviously didn't have it today but the bullpen back to their usual selves and the Marlins continue to own this hapless franchise. 16 wins on the year and 6 of them against the Amazins.

Hefner and Lyon pitch great, Parnell comes in, 6 pitches later the save is blown. Lovely.

Some stat line for Parnell - double, wild pitch, single, double, intentional walk, sac fly, blown save, loss.

Hefner has been pretty good lately. Going to be interesting to see which person is sent down between Gee/Hefner. Although really, the Mets should trade/cut Marcum to make room.

that Pagan trade was so awful

Torres right back with the Giants again and playing. Pagan has played very well for them of course.

    Yeah man,
This team is very tough to watch right now. They should change there names to the, NY Murphy's, because what ever can and will go wrong, does !!!!!!!
Time to just bring up every young prospect and get them use to the show. If we are going to continue to lose like this, might as well be for a purpose. That purpose being,to get our youngsters experience.
I am also thinking it might be time to think about manager and coaching staff changes as well. This team is going to have to be rebuilt from the ground up anyway, so bring in Wally and start now. Collins was handed a no win situation, I don't blame him. Yet, some times you have to just clean house and decent guys get caught up in that. Find a nice spot for Collins in the organization,if he wants it. Then bring in Wally and let him decide who stays or goes for now. Then, let the restructuring begin, I would rather watch out young kids struggle and grow then a bunch of old guys struggle and die.
BTW, I thought Byrd was one of the better bench guys we picked up.

At moment we bring guys up and don't use them so may as well let leave in AAA

Don't see point in keeping Marcum..may as well keep controlled guys and bring up Wheeler

Our line up is pathetic at moment and fact no positional changes of note have taken place sums up Collins

Collins pulling Harvey because he's "tired from running the bases." I'd be willing to bet after the game that Harvey says NOTHING was wrong with him.

Collins is such a pussy manager. I'm sick of it.

Mets hitters an awesome 13 for 71 today. Sad thing is Marcum pitched his best game of the year. 8 innings 5 hits and 1 ER. More brillaince from the Mets as they go two full games (18 innings) without scoring a run against the Marlins. Florida now up to 17 wins on the year and 7 of them against the Mets.

Yesterday summed up Collins....pinch hits with rekker but then leaves Buck on 2nd instead of pinch running for him...he is Mr by the book and that shows in how we play...with no freedom
ankiel stopped lagares getting at bats...frankly he was a pathetic signing

Something about the Mets and games with lots of innings.

They have more 20+ inning games than any other team.

Yesterday's game tied with one other game for the longest in Marlins history (admittedly only 20 years). I think it's only the 5th longest game for the Mets.

It was also the longest game since 2010. Longest game in Citi Field history. The Mets stranded 22 runners on base, which should be one of the highest numbers ever.

Don't forget the extra bonus that they've lost every one of those games. Pretty much sums up the life of a Mets fan - tantalizingly close, torturously disappointing.

Looks like the Mets will lose again to Miami. I know he can't make Murphy not make a stupid error or make Parnell not suck, but the team is playing like they don't give a crap, and if that's not enough to get Collins fired I don't know what is. And if he has anything to do with Davis still being up he deserves to go just for that.

Gotta love that it didn't record even 2 outs before they blew the lead.

Gotta love that the Mets are 1-10 (soon to be 1-11) in games Carson pitches. On the bright side he's managed to lower his ERA from 17.18 on May 5th to 8.50.

Adam Rubin says he expects 3-4 players being sent down for Tuesday's game.

Two of them have to be Ike and Carson. Ike sucks, but Carson sucks plus 1!!
