Does he have anything left in the tank? I heard he was a soldier.

He can tell us the deep dark secrets of the Pats bench?

A good 3 years in TB. Lets see what basically a year away from the field will do.

Are you trying to tell me the Jets TE position is so weak that a guy who basically didn't even play last year can be signed and become the starter instantly? YES. haha.

  8. Winslow is somebody the Jets have liked for a long time. Remember Herm Edwards being asked who was no. 1 overall on Jets big board after pick was made on draft day(Vilma) & the answer being Kellen. Thank goodness that didn't come true..But he still is a legit cold weather Tight end when healthy. Possibly same type of production as Keller gave you.Though he has different strengths/weaknesses on the field.

Cimini tweeting that the Jets invited him to mini-camp on a tryout basis. I'm guessing this means he wasn't technically signed? Just has a chance to be?

  10. This could be to avoid an injury risk. Have him come in & do the drills, see how his body holds up & let the medical staff poke & prod at him a bit. Similar to Jeff Otah but w/o the conditional trade involved.

Oh darn, I was really looking forward to another year of watching the dynamic duo known as Jeff Cumberland and Konrad Reuland

Played 1 game last year and on the decline befor that. He is a good guy for this tryout basis deal, but I'm not getting too excited.

Meh, not the most exciting signing. He's pretty average.

Average but a whole lot better than what we had before getting him.

If healthy he would be our most experienced TE, but he is far from the play maker he was early in his career. He still has good hands, but his work after the catch has gone down. Keep in mind this is his third stop in 2 years. If he was still hitting on all cylinders that would not happen.

He has always been an above average TE, he had 70+ catches in 2011. If the knee looks good after staying off it for a year, he is lots better than current starter Cumberland.

I agree with you, but on this team 75 catches would be miraculous, still better than Cumberland
