No, the American Dream is to go to Law School and then become a Prosecutor > Attorney General > US Representative > Senator.

Plan B is to chase ambulances after Law School and to represent people who spilled coffee on themselves or slipped on an icy sidewalk.

You're giving yourself too much credit.

The moment that you purchased a smartphone and activated it under your name, you were under surveillance.

The tech companies tried to fool consumers by making them think that they had the ability to close down location services by turning off the GPS transponder in their phone.

All the while knowing that cell tower data could give away a location almost as easily as a GPS.

Now we need to talk about what we are not being told.

How much of the data capability of a smartphone is being disclosed to the government? By that I mean internet and social media. And many other apps.

My guess is that currently, 100%of it is being provided.

I can't believe that guys as intelligent as the two of you are still being fooled by the outdated and deceptive concept of party politics.

Hey, I remember when you would come out with some really funny one-liners. What happened?

Don't get me wrong, you still have something going for you, but it's just not the same.

Maybe we can form a bulletin board support group. I am suffering from the same malady.

As long as every election is contested seriously we're still in a party politics mode.

What's interesting is that the Democrats have done what every left of center party eventually does and they've taken a big step to the right. This has pushed the Republicans out on the far right edge of the political spectrum.

What generally happens then is that the rightmost party crumbles under the pressure of a shrinking electorate and somebody springs up on the left and make the former left wing party into the new right wing.

This is part of the normal process in most democracies. The problem is that the US system makes it very hard for a third party to develop and grow. It requires a sheltering party to give it structure and support and then crumble away when the birth of the new party is nearly complete.

An example of this would be the Whigs sheltering the Republicans until they were almost ready to go and then crumbling away in the early 1850's.

However the Republicans are trying to do this on the right wing of the spectrum and they are trying to birth a party even farther to the right of them.

It's going to be very interesting sledding for everybody on this one. I think 2014 is going to be a fascinating year.

I'm in the Minority but as I said when Bush did it, I really never had an issue with it.

All I have to say is this, look at who voted for it and get them the fuck out.

But nope, People will stand by their party lines and then bitch when something like this happens so you know what!?
    Good for you...

    I also found this

“I don’t think we should give up so easily. I don’t think we should be cowed by fear and so fearful of attack that we give up our liberties. If we do, we become no different than the rest of the countries that have no liberties. Our liberties are what make us different from other countries. The fact that we protect the rights, even of those accused of a crime–people say, well, gosh, a murderer will get a trial. Yes, they will get a trial because we don’t know they are a murderer until we convict them. We want procedural restraints.

You know who said that? Rand Paul and I couldn't agree more with this guy regarding this bullshit.
