I didnt see your post tbh. I think Spurs in 6 will be a common pick for those picking the Spurs. Ending it in 5 is unlikely and winning a game7 on the road would be tough.
I know. Just messin' around. I think the Spurs are just a better all around team. They have had their rest and they are going to come out firing. Miami is losing steam fast.
Good run for the Pacers. They are good enough defensively to stop Lebron by himself, once you throw in Wade or even Bosh and others, too much for them to handle. Paul George struggled mightily, but good learning experience. Took the Heat to 6 last year, 7 this year. The Spurs can stop Lebron. If you get Wade or Bosh showing up it changes everything. I wonder if Lebron gets thrown on Tony Parker late in games.
Just because the Spurs have had a long rest doesn't guarantee they'll come out "firing". We saw Miami lose game 1 at home after waiting for the winner of the Knicks/Indy series. And FYI it took the Heat 7 games to defeat Boston in the ECF last year, en route to winning the championship. So it's premature to say that they won't win because they're gassed. And OKC last year is a better team than the Spurs.
We never got that Kobe/Lebron finals matchup. ESPN pointed out 2007- Lebron in finals 2008-2010 Kobe in finals 2011-2013 Lebron in finals We did get a Lebron/Durant though. Would have been fun to get Kobe/Lebron matchup, always fun when the top players will guard each other late and try to one up each other.
I think that Spurs vs Heat was a better matchup. Spurs vs Pacers would have been one of the lowest watched series ever. I dont know but I think the Heat are favored but dont underestimate this hungry team
Yeah its amazing that either Lebron or Kobe has been in the finals the last 7 seasons yet they never matched up. 2009 was the year, Celtics went down, but the Cavaliers choked against the Magic.
Rose will make the Bulls slightly better, but his inability to get himself mentally over his injury and play t his year reflects how mentally tough and competitive he is, which isn't very; which to me makes it more likely that he never returns to form. ACL's don't take over a year to heal. the graph is at full strength within 6-9 months. any time after that you are talking about a player's fear about the injury, unless the surgeon just completely botched the job, which in Rose's case simply isn't likely. he didn't have some C average med student in the Navy operating on him, he had a world class surgeon. his fear to play on it is reflective of his personality, and that isn't changing. Beyond the Bulls, the Knicks are still suspect, the Nets couldn't even win a game 7 at home, the Cavaliers at best are an 8 seed, hardly a team that strengthens the East, the Pacers are overrated and Boston is old, with or without Rondo. The East doesn't look intimidating at all.
Funny how the Spurs have gotten zero attention over the last 5 years or so, now they are all over sportcenter, when I was driving Beningo was talking about the Spurs, Fatcessa was talking about em, ESPN radio was talking about. Crazy how I can go days without any media mentioning the Spurs, now everywhere I look people are talking about the team. Gunna enjoy it all while it lasts.
Are you really so confused by why national and local shows are talking about the Spurs? They are in the finals. Stop looking stupid.
Can't find who posted it on Twitter, but I believe the Spurs are undefeated in G1's when waiting over a week to play.
Not even, because if they were playing the Pacers no one would have cared. Its because we are playing the Heat which goes to show just how much of a following the Heat have. The Heat are ridiculously intriguing.
6-0. And teams who swept the conference vs teams who went to game 7, the team who swept have gone 4-2 in the finals. These stats dont mean much though.
Opponents matter because Stern wants to create a story. Of course the ratings would have been shit if it was Spurs-Pacers. Stern has been about drama in the finals since 2007. That's reality. What you need to worry about now is that he's going tom try to validate Lebron after that 2007 sweep. Sitting there crying about media coverage is for mooks at this point. Wonder now about the agenda. My personal worry is that no matter how well the Spurs play, they will be behind the 8 ball. I still have hope that Stern won't fix it. A narrow hope.
the Spurs had the best record in the league the previous two seasons and were talked about constantly. last playoffs they were steamrolling through the playoffs up to the 2-0 lead on the Thunder and everyone was lauding them as the model NBA team and franchise. it is outright f'ing dishonest to even attempt to claim the Spurs have been ignored for the past 5 years up until now. you have to be trolling, because nobody could possibly believe the nonsense you post in this thread.
This. They don't have the hype as a Miami, but nobody does. But they have been regarded as one of the best franchises in the NBA
Have you seen him post in the Jets forum? This is as close to The Poster Known As Soxxx that I've seen that can be compared to legitimate posting. Then again, there have been many 'people' lately showing their colors, so lets just turn a blind eye on an historic troll.
