The crazy thing is that wasn't even the season finale!

I guess there's foreshadowing for us book readers in there too. (Can't think of her name) Robb's wife the queen of the north wasn't there during the wedding and is currently safe and alive. I guess that shows her importance in future events.

    Quick comments about tonights episode:

Walder Frey is one weaseley POFS.

Tywin is the most sound calculating strategic thinker in Westeros (as much as it pains me to say)

The Red Wedding scene was fantastic, though I was hoping to see one of the Umbers smash some heads

+1 for all the "Hodoring", that's what this show has been missing

Did anyone else enjoy this episodes format the way it jumped around a lot showing multiple perspectives in a short period?

Robb's wife was the first to die, did you mean someone else?

He meant the difference between the books and the show. Robb's wife wasn't at the wedding in the books.

Oh alright. Yeah there was a theory going around that Jeyne Westerling (Talisa) was in on the betrayal... I'm pretty sure that the episode squashes that thought.

Excellent episode. I don't think anything major will happen in the season finale. Will be a another story telling episode to transition into the next season.

By far the worst season, with **crosses fingers** one redeeming episode left. 10000+ soldiers standing outside a city and what does that result a bullshit, no dragons, hack attack around the backdoor, whack. The wolf is dead, the army is destroyed all hopes for Starks are drown down to a annoying little girl, a cripple that can transform into Hodor, a baby boy and a bastard flip flopper who can't execute anyone. Starks are finished. I'm rooting for Stannis.

Well... at least something finally happened. **yawn** winter is still coming?

I just want a Lannister to die not named Tyrion. They worst they have had happened was Jamie losing a hand, Cersei losing her pride, and that's it. I guess Tywin think he has all the Starks destroyed not knowing of Bran and Arya?

The Starks on the other hand, well yeah they've suffered enough. It makes me wonder how they even became lords of winterfell. They can't play the politics of the Throne.

My hopes ride on Khalessi or the Whitewalkers coming in and wrecking everything

The Starks made too many mistakes. They failed to raise the Knights of the Vale, trusted Theon Greyjoy, left no one to guard winter fell, killed Rickard Karstark; and worst of all, let Jamie Lannister escape. If he still held Jamie Lannister, Tywin would never risk killing Robb at the wedding. Pride, misguided trust and poor leadership ended the Stark campaign. Eddard Stark, warned Robb to always eat dinner with his lords, but he was busy with his woman and let Roose Bolton and Walder Frey plot around him.

Danery's made a lot of mistakes early on trusting the witch doctor to heal Drogo and trusting the people of Quarth who tried to steal her dragons. Although, She seems to have learned from some of those mistakes and has built up sizable force; her trust in "Fabio's" flank attack could have easily been sabotaged. All she needs now are ships.

In Game of Thrones you win or you die.

I read some review that said since this story is based off the books already, they can kill off major characters just like that because it happens in the story. They don't have to worry if the actor/actress became popular or if the fans love them, the book says what will happen and they follow it regardless of outside influences.

yes these are important plot points, they arent going to alter the material...This isnt The Walking Dead where they are open to interpretation. They cant do that here...Think of it as the people running the Harry Potter franchise trying to stay loyal to the books in their movies.

But the next season and onwards they are no longer dedicating each season to one book. But rather build season off the all of the stories so far in the books

People online are clamoring for revenge!! The masses want blood for Robb Stark. Joffrey is still the odds winner as to which dickhead should die. So far after 3 seasons, we need to start checking off the dickheads, and pull back on the good guys.

My guess would be that if Joffrey doesn't get it in the next episode he is certainly going to die by next season's end. Would be cool to see Sansa to be the one to do it.

Game of Thrones has saved its best episodes for 9th in all 3 seasons. Ned's demise in season 1, Blackwater in season 2 and this in season 3.

Roose Bolton doesn't drink, dulls the senses.
