I killed namath 2 years ago for blasting the Jets and Rex on 1050 because I thought he was doing it to further his career. It turns out that Joe was correct about almost everything he said. Our owner, coach, GM and player talent and also lack of being upfront. Over the last 2 years, its become obvious that he was right and I owe him an apology. I wish he was wrong. And the man blasted Woody for PSL's. SOB is not only the greatest Jet, he cares about us fans like a real fan. Sorry Joe, you might have sold your soul to the devil for that one win, but you are a real fan.
Joe Namath's word is infallible. Yes, you were wrong to question him, but Joe Namath always forgives. For your act of contrition, drink 12 white wine spritzers and imagine Suzy Kolber naked.
firstly dont fall into the junc vortex. joe was on the radio yesterday i think. he said that there is really no relationship between himself and the jets, it appears woody got his panties in a bunch over joe being outspoken about things. typical woody. and joe killed him again for the psls and the lies and deceit.
No need to start your nonsense. The jets were great to Joe and he bashed them, some things he has been right on and some wrong. Considering how many times he has embarrassed the organization through the years you'd think he would keep those feeling to himself but he bashed everyone and rightfully so the Jets are made at him.
joe wasn't right. joe just agreed with the medias storyline so they will keep sticking a micrphone in front of him.its sad to see it,but joe is turning himself into a bit of a side show himself. news outlets and radio shows just want him on so they can print what the senile old legend is saying about his old team. its a double win for them. everyone clicks to laugh at the old man and laugh at the jets because their own legend thinks they are a circus. we love ya joe, thanks for the super bowl but its time to go out to pasture.
I think Namath was right in a sense. You can't explain the Tebow acquisition as being a football move. Impossible. I think Namath talks a lot, and I normally don't agree with what he says, but I think he's absolutely right, the Jets (Woody Johnson mainly) have been deceptive.
The problem is if we didn't do it for football reasons then why did we do it? I heard the "steal the backpages from the giants", acquiring Tebow does nothing to take attention away from a SB championship team.
Namath has been right alot. He seems to be in touch with the feelings of the fanbase and he's dead on about the PSL bullshit. It's kind of sad in a way because I don't see a scenario where Woody unhinges the bunch in his panties to forgive him now that Joe had the balls to call him out about this stuff. Since Joe's getting up there in age and there's no sign of Woody selling the team(unfortunately) .. it's very possible the relationship will be strained for the rest of Joe's time. I just hope he continues to hold Jets fans in high regard and he can take an unofficial role as the voice of the fanbase.. Especially with the shady dealings in florham park.
Right- acquiring Tebow took no attention away from the Giants. Yea right. Tell that to the rest of the sports world.
-PSLs, pricing out the loyal Jets fan -lying to the fans about Tebow -West Side Stadium fiasco I could go on and on buddy.
PSLs suck but how did they lie? How did they lie about Tebow? Trying to get the WSS was them lying to us? any other gems?
