Do you always assume guilt so easily. :)

I know that you said you looked at the highlights, which makes you an expert on things, but did you bother to understand what happened in those games?

I bet you didn't. You were waiting for the games that the NBA told you to care about.

Go away until you have some kind of understanding about how the Spurs got to where they are.

Again, talk to me about specifics of those games or shut up.

Crawford has been one of his best soldiers. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Spurs swept with Crawford reffing two of those games.

But then, I'm just some crazy guy that thinks there is questionable refereeing in the NBA. Don't let me stop you guys.

    :)

That's just what you really want to discuss. Because your previous discussion was a loser's argument.

Huh? You were the one that quit on the previous discussion because you knew you were wrong. Then you started a new one about Stern rigging everything for ratings. Evidently that's what you wanted to discuss. I didn't bring it up. You did.

    You keep changing the subject.

Well considering you said you little guys and there are 3 people posting now and you are one of them I figured the guys would be me and Yisman. Process of elimination because I was 99% sure you don't call yourself a Stern fanboy.

When I posted smiley face with tongue sticking out it means I'm poking fun and not being serious. Clearly you missed that.

Well I'm not going to go back and watch this game, but Hibbert/Mahimi/Birdman were allowed to go vertical while Hill and Lance were allowed very little contact on the perimeter, Birdman wasn't thrown out on what a flagrant 2 is defined as, and Lebron slapping the floor and jumping up and down didn't get a T for complaining/showing up the refs. Should I keep on going? When I talk overall about the playoffs, it's overall not specific games. It's the trend these playoffs in my opinion. If you want to point to specific games to explain why you disagree with my opinion, you can go ahead and do that. That's usually how this works. One of us says something, if the other one disagrees, they say so and say why and etc etc.

Well now you are changing your point. I don't know if you realize this, but there is a difference between questionable reffing and fixing/rigging games. I agree on questionable reffing, it's always plagued sports. I disagree on fixing or rigging games/results. So are you saying the game is rigged and fixed or are you the reffing is bad?

EDIT: So yeah, are you trying to say the game is fixed and rigged for ratings and then don't point to specific examples, or are you saying the reffing is bad and not pointing to specific examples you so dearly ask for?

Lebron was a fucking hero in that 3rd quarter...

Fuck those punk asses...Hope we rape them on Saturday.

Haslem was also awesome...It's a thing of beauty to see him hit that jump shot...

I don't think anyone can disagree the NBA refs are bad. I mean I think the refs in all 4 major sports are bad.

    I have
    NHL

    big gap

    NBA
    MLB
    NFL

I think NBA is a problem due the players being too fast, strong, and quick for these older refs. I think also because the rules need to be rewritten to cater to this newer style of basketball and being more straightforward on what is going to be called.

I think MLB is a problem because more of the system. The replay system is clearly messed up, UMPS clearly don't get HD or clear replays, each strike zone is really different and arbitrary per ump, and there are so many bang bang plays in low scoring sport (compared to basketball) they stand out more.

NFL I think is the same as the NBA with players getting bigger/faster/stronger, but systematically the rules are broken and too much is left up to a ref running around the field looking for hundreds of different infractions per play. Also PI/unncessary roughness change the game SO much with their impact when they get it wrong it really messes the game up. I also think the new way they are trying to make the game safer through calling more penalties puts the strain of safety on the refs and not the NFL

Oh and David Stern is a smart guy, it's how he's survived as NBA commish for so long, if there's a conspiracy to fix games it's not going to be something as straightforward as more ratings=good or big markets=good.

It's going to be a lot more nuanced than that. It's going to be a year to year thing that has set goals and plans that are more than just ratings.

EDIT: Like if he had MIA lose to DAL heading into the expected lockout to use as an example of something above my head rergarding the CBA and salary cap, I would believe that much much much more than Stern wants ratings, see that's why IND, SA, and MEM were in the conference finals over CHI, NY, BK, LA, LA, etc.

I quit on the previous argument because you failed to bring anything close to a rational defense and there was a game playing.

I was doing your job, as someone that should help to avoid a derailment of the actual topic of the thread. Apparently, you did not understand that.

So, now, lets go back to that argument, which you thought you won.

Lets talk about that pathetic poll, which you think defines the opinions of intelligent people.

I'd bet 1000-1 odds that you avoid this discussion.

    What say, gambler man?

Haslem too. Puts Hibbert in a hole, go to contest whoever is driving or leave Haslem his favorite/only shot.

I was going to allot some late-night time for Yes-man,.but I don't have the rest of the night to wait.

displaced, await a morning response. I hate to leave a happy man in sadness. Noon CST at the latest.

I have to go south after that. My wife has been diagnosed with stage II breast cancer and we are going out of cell range to tell her parents tomorrow. :(

Sorry to hear about that. Good luck.

I just want to know where you get the idea I like Stern or think NBA refs are good? Just because I think Stern is a better commish than Goodell doesn't mean I think Stern is good, he's just not as bad as Roger which isn't saying much. Just like I don't think NBA refs are bad as NFL refs, it doesn't mean I think the refs are good. It means I don't think they are the worst, I still think they are bad. I'm just confused why you think I like the refs. I probably whine more about the NBA refs than Paul Pierce and Dwyane Wade combined.

Now that I'm sober, I find that this argument is of little interest to me at the moment. I was asked to find a distraction to take my kind off of things yesterday. I realize that I became too distracted. In a couple of days, I'll go through your responses and see what I agree with and what I don't.

I can't do that right now.

Lebrons going back to Cleveland I swear. The Heat are a sinking ship going into the future. If Lebrons on the heat in 2015 il be shocked.

His last season in Miami will be next season.

Dam... this makes me sad. I remember when he played for the Nets. There is also some significance to Pearl Jam

    Blaylock critical after car crash

JONESBORO, Ga. -- Police say former NBA All-Star guard Daron "Mookie" Blaylock is on life support after a car crash in suburban Atlanta.

Clayton County police spokesman Clarence Cox says Blaylock was driving in Jonesboro on Friday when his SUV crossed the center line and hit a van head on.

Cox says Blaylock was airlifted to the Atlanta Medical Center where he was in critical condition Friday night.

Cox says the man and woman riding in the van were also taken to the medical center. Their names and conditions were not immediately available.

The 46-year-old Blaylock was a first-round draft pick by the New Jersey Nets out of Oklahoma in 1989. He played for the Atlanta Hawks between 1992 and 1999 and the Golden State Warriors for the last three seasons of his 12-year career.
