I am as much fed up with that idiot as anyone else here.

That said, you must see the long-term prospect. Starting the rookie - especially when the pieces are not even in place - is not in the best interest of either the player or the franchise.

I just don't understand how people can get so fucking idiotic over such a simple matter. Remember that guy Kaepernick? Jimmy didn't throw the kid into the fire at the first chance. He let the kid grow behind Alex Smith - yes, THAT Alex Smith, who I can tell you with confidence, sucks 10 times more than Sanchez ever will. The lesson is out there - people just ignore them; simply because they are fed up with Sanchez? Jesus Christ.

If I have to put the lessons in writing for you:

    1. If you give sufficient support, even the busts like Alex Smith can perform. So can Sanchez.
    2. Throwing the rookie into the fire = stupidity.

Don't just take my words. Learn from the recent success 49ers had. That should give you something to think about.

P.S. When Sanchez came in, his situation resembled more of Wilson's situation than Kaepernick. Sanchez did have decent success in his first two years too. That should give you a clear idea of what 'sufficient support' can do for the kid.
    -------------------------------------------------------------

If the lesson didn't sink with you yet:

"I HATE SANCHEZ! I HATE SANCHEZ! I HATE SANCHEZ! IT IS ALL HIS FAULT!! WAAAAAGH!!"

Repeat this line three times. You will come to understand.

(And I am not a Sanchez defender either. I think he is a piece of shit. And these Sanchez bashers somehow successfully unnerved the likes of me. Go figure.)

P.S. If you ask me, Sanchez defenders and Sanchez bashers are on equal plateau in terms of the sheer stupidity - but that's just me.
    ---------------------
    1. Sanchez says hi.
    2. Countless other rookie QB failures all say hi.
    3. Jets offense is underhanded. This is single most important fact. What part of "UNDERHANDED" did you not understand? Do you want Smith to develop happy feet like David Carr did with Texans? Then you will cry out about how much Geno Smith sucks, right?

I know Sanchez sucks, and I want him gone if he cannot improve to NFL standard. That said, blind hatred toward the kid is just maddening here. I would bear with it if it weren't so stupid. It's full blown retard level of stupidity. Jesus Christ.

Yesterday when you called yourself a retard, and I thought that was overly critical.

Now, after reading more of your nonsense, I'm not so sure.

Jets fans never have a wanker off-season actually

The top 5 pick isn't wasted yet, but the clock is ticking. I honestly hope that the top 5 pick turns the corner and comes good.

I don't get the hate for Sanchez.

I don't like revisionist history, like pretending he was great in 2009 or that he was terrible in 2010. I also understand disappointment, frustration, and just lack of excitement regarding Sanchez. I don't get the hate, players struggle and suck. It happens, it's football

    Where's all the "blind hatred"?

Here's just some of his some of his "love"...and this is the guy you're agreeing with?

    1. Jets offensive talent is horrible.
    2. That includes Sanchez.

If Carson Palmer and Mark Sanchez are any indications, you must avoid QBs from USC with that early draft picks, like a plague.

Nacho in his first two years was barely serviceable

    1. Assfumble.
    2. Faceplant immediately after The Assfumble (TM) with FML look.

Now Jets have a regressing QB that can't even break even on the value. Good fucking riddance.

Sanchez played like shit. I supported Sanchez till last year - then things turned sour even on me too.

The goal is to COMPLETE passes.
That's anything but what Nacho can do.
Especially over short distances. His short passes were atrocious even from his USC days. No reason to think it will all of a sudden improve beyond any man's wildest dreams.

And if Jets had Brady, Jets would have actually won the damn VLT too.

I get that Sanchez sucks (I have been voicing that opinion myself for quite a while now)

    1. Sanchez is not the worst QB in the NFL. He is statistically 35th best in the league. (Reminder: there are 32 teams.)

He can throw 30 picks a year, with a share of ass fumbles and still stay as starter?

Jets are going to be shooting for the big one once Sanchez plays like top 10 QB.
Possible? Yes. Likely? No fucking way in hell.
If anything, you must have nerves of iron - which Sanchez obviously does not have. If you ask me, I'd tell you, Sanchez has a body of NFL QB, face of a gigolo and the mental toughness of a high school girl.

I think Sanchez has gone into the David Carr region.

Sanchez has been a disaster in short passing game all his career.

02-22-2013 The only reason I do not think cutting Nacho as of now is not in the best interest of Jets is simply because there is nobody ready to step up for the roster. If Jets are so inclined to cut this burrito-smelling ass, they can do that after this season, provided they drafted a good QB prospect in this draft.

02-22-2013 Accept that Sanchez is a lost cause. That is where things should start.

Once you accept that, then you can accept that, Jets must draft a next QB apparent. Once that kid is ready, Jets should be ready to shitcan Nacho. All in all, you do not want a rookie QB starting for the team under any circumstance.

Since I do not see how Jets will stay competitive next year, I would be more than content to see the Jets draft BPA for the future, let the season unroll, grab a QB prospect in the NEXT draft, let Nacho suck another season, THEN shitcan him. The new QB kid will have a lot of young weapons to play with for a long time, unlike this failed joke Nacho.

I know Nacho sucks. That's the bottom line.
    3. I want him gone too. Just when the time is right.

I am saying, Vick is probably as dumb as Sanchez.

Well, it's just the nature of the beast.

If you want to apply logic to football, then the logical conclusion would be that it doesn't matter AT ALL. The game itself really has no meaning apart what people project onto it. Logic takes another hit when you have an emotional investment to something that really doesn't matter in reality.

Taking this type of criticism is in the job description of a QB, or any other player. If fans care about the sport, it's just the natural consequence. May as well ask why fans would be shit-faced happy if their team wins the Super Bowl than ask "why the hate" when players are not good.

Nobody here knows Sanchez personally to my knowledge. They care mainly about his ability to play quarterback, his job. If he is doing poorly at his job and can't take the naturally resulting heat, he is in the wrong profession.

Well the first part is true, but I think 100% logic is at one end of the spectrum is pure hatred is at the other end and the balance in between is where most fans lie. You realize it's a game and all, but your team playing poorly is going to affect you for that day or a couple days after depending on how many stories/highlights you see.

I agree taking criticism is part of the job and needing to handle it is necessary.

I agree here too. I just think there is a difference between being upset with Sanchez and wishing injury to him. Maybe the injury stuff is in jest but some of it comes off as serious
