Yep, those Superbowl wins where he stepped up and made clutch throws. Sanchez can do that all day.

Face it, Eli is an elite QB

In 2007 D held NE to 14 pts when they averaged over 35 PPG
In 2011 they held them to 17 pts(and scored 2) when NE averaged over 30

but yeah a ball sticks to a helmet and it's all elite Eli!

So many elite QBs lead their teams to missing the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years in prime years including a 25 INT season. Happens to the elites all the time.

Some of you guys just have no idea what you are watching.

So in AFC title game we're supposed to forget everything that happened prior to the last three minutes and put the blame mostly on the defense...but blame should be evenly distributed for the Giants when the special teams loses the game on the final play. Gottcha.

you insulted yourself by calling Eli elite.

Did Eli have the ball w/ a lead and a chance to end it? did he have the ball w/ a chance to get it to OT? did mark have the ball in his hands w/ a chance to win it? Let me know what your answers are.

Eli's D stepped ours did not. His D handed him the ball in FG range in OT at GB, his STs handed him the ball in FG range in OT at SF. If our D played as well as NYG's we may have 2 rings right now too.

In no way is Eli elite. Elite (the top tier of QBs) QBs right now are probably Brady, Brees, P. Manning, Rodgers.

Eli is a good QB, most likely a top 10 QB the last two years but not top 5 either year. He's in the tier below the elite for me. So he's rounding out the top 10. I have Big Ben and Matt Ryan ahead of him keeping him out of the top 5 overall.

The mistake in logic here is narrowing down a 60 minute game to 3 minutes. Part of the reason the defense had no room for error was because the offense scratched together only a net of 10 points in the game. The offense failed by driving for 8 minutes and getting 0 points.

Can't see why people realize that everything is tied together, football is a team sport, and that AFC championship loss against Pitt was truly a team loss.

Team sport. Rings are a team accomplishment in football. 4 or 3 games in a win or go home scenario, not a great test to see who is the better team let alone QB. The whole thing in football is, you don't have to be the better team to win the SB, you just have to be the better team that day.

In 2011 he may have cracked the top 5 w/ his brother being out.

If I had to win a bog game I'd choose him over some of the elite's(including his brother) but he's just not consistent enough o be considered an elite QB. he should be though.

and part of the reason was the D allowed 17 1st half pts and allowed Pitt to dictate the game. many games are close and come down to execution in the final minutes, our D didn't execute and we lost. It was a team loss but the biggest culprit was the D. A unit we relied on to lead the team, it didn't do that in either title game.

Sanchez doesn't make a pimple on Eli's ass.

I hate that little bitch Eli but he's a damn good QB, a 2-time SB champ and I'd kill to have him in green and white. (We'd have 2 SBs as well if we had him all these years instead of Sanchez)

each result would have been the same if we switched QBs. NYG would have won 2 SBs w/ mark, NYJ would have lost 2 title games w/ Eli. Both were good enough to win it all with but NYG their D/STs stepped up while ours did not.

If we had Eli the fans would have run him out of town many years ago like Giant fans tried to.

    guess
I can't imagine a scenario in which you'd give equal blame to Sanchez in a game in which he has a 3 td lead with half a quarter left. Heck, you blame the Jets D for soul crushing scores in the first half of 1 score games. Maybe Eli was shell shocked by Celek's 65 yarder.

No doubt about that. People wanted Mark gone year 3. Eli wasn't exactly lighting up the league at that time. As a #1 pick this thread would have 500,000 views

The Giants wouldn't have even made the playoffs with Sanchez. Don't be silly Junc. He wouldn't be on their roster anymore.

My question remains unanswered how many rings does Eli have & how many does MS have?
