Doesn't matter who was supposed to be blocking snacks on the play, or how he got beat. Blocks will get beat over the course of a season, what matters is the QB recognizing that the play isn't there and adjusting by either throwing the ball away, running the ball, or changing recievers if it's an option in the play. The first two are ALWAYS options. Arguing who was supposed to block snacks on the play is moot, the QB's job is to recognize and adjust, that is the point.
Followup to my previous point. Anyone with any talent can play the game when things are going as designed. It's how players react when plays break down and things aren't going as planned that separate JAGS from subpar players, and seperates elite players from Jags. Its how a player reacts when plays break down. Hence who was supposed to block snacks doesn't matter, what matters are the decisions and actions taken when plays break down.

I don't know if anyone here literally hates him. Most of us are just fed up with having a below-average player (note: not person) at the most important position. And it's not like we haven't given him the benefit of doubt; we've had him as our QB for four years, entering his fifth. It's very true he hasn't had everyones' support through all those years, but every single one here would've loved to see our QB turn into a great one. What that QB's name is doesn't matter. We just want to see the franchise move on from him, the player Mark Sanchez. The loudest voices here though, turn every single thread into a stigmatized drama where we're all supposed haters and they somehow takes it as their duty to stand up for him, mostly because of one or two good performances in the playoffs. We want a better player at that position. Period.
I am as much fed up with that idiot as anyone else here. That said, you must see the long-term prospect. Starting the rookie - especially when the pieces are not even in place - is not in the best interest of either the player or the franchise. I just don't understand how people can get so fucking idiotic over such a simple matter. Remember that guy Kaepernick? Jimmy didn't throw the kid into the fire at the first chance. He let the kid grow behind Alex Smith - yes, THAT Alex Smith, who I can tell you with confidence, sucks 10 times more than Sanchez ever will. The lesson is out there - people just ignore them; simply because they are fed up with Sanchez? Jesus Christ. If I have to put the lessons in writing for you: 1. If you give sufficient support, even the busts like Alex Smith can perform. So can Sanchez. 2. Throwing the rookie into the fire = stupidity. Don't just take my words. Learn from the recent success 49ers had. That should give you something to think about. P.S. When Sanchez came in, his situation resembled more of Wilson's situation than Kaepernick. Sanchez did have decent success in his first two years too. That should give you a clear idea of what 'sufficient support' can do for the kid.

Me personally, I'll be happy with whoever MM thinks should start, if he gets a say in it (and I'm worried he doesn't). Most likely it could be the offensive mastermind Rex calling the shot on that one, with his own HC career on the line. The fuel for the 'hatred' on these boards is generated by those trying to convert others into thinking Sanchez could be the guy. That's where all these inflammated rants come from. And tbh, the FO isn't helping the cause by constantly saying the best player at the position will start, when that very unlikely is the case. Pressers are entirely about the media anyway, and those guys can say anything they want in their pressers, be it guaranteeing a Super Bowl win, creating hype, gushing about a QB's potential in his FIFTH friggin' year, or revealing that horseshit is a delicacy. Anything they want to say, bud. And you gotta be a fool to take it at face value a lot of times. There is a thing called damage control as well. And you are like a backhanded lawyer trying to attack the credibility of the source instead of actually addressing the issue. You are right, I'm not in that crazy lockerroom and don't have inside information about it. Neither are you. Look at popular opinion from non-Super Fans. Look at what is being said by nearly everyone...Sanchez in not really in too many people's good graces as the Jets QB moving forward. Well over 80-90% of analysts don't exactly have a glowing report about Dirty Sanchez, so why would the lockerroom be much different? It's not like those guys are going to come out and tell you what they REALLY think. If you had to guess, what do you think the sentiment is about Sanchez in the Jets lockerrom?
