I liked Mark when he came on board YEAR 1 &, like every-1 else, held out hope after 2 AFC chmp'ship games that he mite turn out to be the qb with enuff talent to give us a fighting chance to @ least a SB appearance - maybe even a victory! I liked Mark. Really liked him as our qb of the future! He has talent, but he has brain-f#cked himself to the point of no return with overwhelming lack of confidence. He has lost the trust of the fans (got boo'd really bad @ MSG during a Knick play-off game), the media has practically written him off and now it seems his team-mates have finally lost all patience and any confidence in his ability as "reported" in this article. LINK: http://deadspin.com/an-anonymous-jet-is-blasting-mark-sanchez-summer-is-un-509584117 This year was going to be different, the front office claimed. The leaks would stop, Woody Johnson declared. It took under 24 hours from the Jets' first open practice for an unnamed player to tell a reporter that most of his teammates don't want Mark Sanchez at quarterback. The player, who requested anonymity, told CBS Sports's Mike Freeman: "Everyone on the team likes Mark personally but there's a general feeling among some of the players that maybe it's time to give someone else a chance." The player went on to say that he estimates that 80-90 percent of the team feels the same way he does. This comes a day after the first OTA open to the media, one that didn't go well for the incumbent. In 11-on-11 drills Sanchez went 6-for-11 with three interceptions and one sack. The Post couldn't resist the cruel lede, "Mark Sanchez is hitting midseason form in May." (Geno Smith wasn't much better, going 3-for-10 with one INT and one sack.) Marty Mornhinweg has indicated that he'd like to have the quarterback competition decided by training camp. So we hope every anonymous Jet throws someone under the bus before roster cuts begin." Can you blame 'em!?
Please, mike freeman, is a known fraud. Who loves to use "unnamed jets players". And Costello, os turnong into another beat basher. If any of you caught Rexs presser, heemphsozed ball security, but was hardly "agitated" in fact he was pretty pleased with himself for mind fucking Sanchez on that play. Pointing out that Mangold was supposed to be blocking Snacks, a d that getting picked by Snacks was " nothing to be ashamed of" But hey....dont take my word for it...
Please, mike freeman, is a known fraud. Who loves to use "unnamed jets players". I guess you missed the subsequent skewer by the guy frpm NFL.com. And Costello, is turning into another beat basher. If any of you caught Rexs presser, he emphasized ball security, but was hardly "agitated" in fact he was pretty pleased with himself for mind fucking Sanchez on that play. Pointing out that Mangold was supposed to be blocking Snacks, and that getting picked by Snacks was " nothing to be ashamed of" But hey....dont take my word for it... http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/art...-Offense/582ddfe0-f43a-4ca1-b3ea-ba1203734459 And read the first two paragraphs of Sessler ridiculing freeman.
Rex was so proud of himself for getting Sanchez to throw an interception to a 300+ pound fat fuck like he does on a regular basis. Good for him. You'd think a 5th year QB would be able to spot fat albert roaming the flats. This scheme never works in games against real NFL QB's. Only Sanchez turns DT's into Night Train Lane.
As I said last night, it was Harris that picked brady, same p,ay. That is not the point here. Its these media scumbags, that are paid to cover the Jets, and just bash them in hopes of getting the Vagiants gig. Better food in the press box I guess. No problem with objectivity, but read what Rex actually said, and what Costello wrote. And aside from Sissels take down of Freeman, known Jet Hater Cris Carter even called his article b.s., with the 80-90 pct crap, and said if any player said that...they should get cut on the spot. Freeman is the guy, that accused every other Jets beat writer of conspiring to get him, when he pulled a similar stunt durong the Al Groh regime. Im sorry, but in the media capital of the planet, as customers, we deserve a little better. Try to intellectually separate your Sanchez hatred from the issue. Becaise Smith is already getting it too.
Only you would compare a god damn linebacker intercepting a pass with a defensive tackle doing so. It's ridiculous, and that's putting it very nicely Hobbs. Even at that, Brady doesn't make a habit throwing INT's to LB's or anyone for that matter. The comparison is grasping at lubed up straws.
Its the same coverage. Pouha, was trying to get underr, but the center made the block. Pace caused the over throw by blitizing. But it was the same coverage, Rex pointed out, that Mangold was supposed to be blocking. Same coverage.
More important question, With Brady the pick came on an overthrow, which means the defender was behind the reciever. In the case of Snacks, and there is no video, but based on a NT breaking in it almost 100% is certain that he was BETWEEN the QB and the Reciever. These are two different throws, in Brady's case if he doesn't over throw his receiver it's not a pick, though it might be a only a small gain or negative yardage play. Assuming the NT was between the QB and the RB there is no way that pass should EVER be thrown, it's a busted play.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E25z_Zy5QFI Lol watch the play and there is no DT in the area. Harris sprints upfield toward Brady, making a play no DT could make. There wasn't really any pressure either, just a bad overthrow by Brady. The idea that the 2 plays are similar is absurd, especially given that we haven't even seen one of them.
Yes, the blitzer forced the high throw...but in either case, its a crappy decision, but....its a pretty good coverage. Mangold is supposed to hold the DT (which happened in the NE game)reventing him from getting underneath. My guess would be Mangold was looking to get downfield to block, not expecting snacks to cover the ground, and Sanchez...looking at the hot read, didnt bother to look at the guy coming down the line. Im not saying its Not a bad throw, just saying, that given the defense, its not as hysterically bad as some of the things weve seen
Moron. Learn to read. Pouha is trying to get to the space. The Center remains on his block. At 5 seconds in 91 is coming down the line to cver the back, and is blocked by the center. Harris runs by him on the over throw. Then read rexs description, of who was supposed to be blocking Snacks. Its the same defensive call. P.S. yeah you really know what youre looking at. Calvin Pace is closing in on Brady. Its his hand in the air that makes brady try to lay it up. But hey...I could be wrong...but thats the way Brady said it.
What does that have to do with the defensive tackle intercepting Sanchez? Are you suggesting that any time that defense is called and the opposing QB throws an INT to anyone on the field it's the same thing as Sanchez throwing an INT to yet another defensive lineman? If not than what the hell is your point? Get real.
Lol you really are helpless. Who cares if Pouha is trying to get to the space? Did he pick the ball in some alternate reality because the defensive call was the same? You do know that linebackers are more athletic than DTs right? Thus, we(well most of us) can conclude logically that a throw has to be much worse for a DT to pick it than a LB. Stop trying to defend the indefensible because you have some sort of man-love for Mark Sanchez. And wow, Pace had GREAT pressure on Brady there, even though he was locked up in a block until Brady is already in throwing motion and 5 yards away. I really feel sorry for you because I know you actually made yourself believe the bullshit you type just because you like Sanchez that much. You guys claim you are only trying to say the guy deserves another shot but you give away your true feelings with terrible arguments bending over backwards to defend the guy. Mark himself would be ashamed of some of your posts.
You mean you've had a crush on a liar and a guy who threw others under the bus for his failure as a HC? This is shocking to me Hobbes. I always thought you put a premium on personal responsibility. The excuse making for both Morningwig and worse Sanchez is the kind of thing I would expect from classic progressive liberals.
I love that he got booed at an NBA playoff game. He needs to be taken out of that shell that Rex created for him.
