Except he didn't beat any QB in the league... he beat the league's leader in turnovers. Which is the point.

Until Sanchez can get through an NFL season without being at or near the top with turnovers, then naturally it's going to be a story when he turns it over (especially to a damn nose tackle)

I know you love him but give me a break. If he wants the media off his back - STOP TURNING THE FOOTBALL OVER...

The thing I expect out of Sanchez is to recognize when people are covered on a screen or check down. It's his biggest weakness and has been for awhile. Too often he try's to make something happen in this area for it to only end in disaster. It's not like snacks is a easy guy to miss out in the flat. Despite the new offense, I expect a 5th year pro to be better than that.

I do want Sanchez to win the job. For him to gain any value as an asset is only going to benefit the jets long term. Ive stated as much a few times this offseason. To suggest I want him to fail is just you projecting an argument where there is none. It's very childish of you. Unlike most around here I don't care who wins the job, but I want to see growth out of all our young players and am disappointed when the same missteps keep haunting them.

NFL qb's don't consistently have passes intercepted by defensive linemen. Sanchez continues to do this. It's indefensible ... OTA or not.

Seeing as the thread is now degenerating into trashy talk, I'll join in for a bit as well.
YOU were the one who said "No team won a SB in May...", no one had even mentioned the SB, and I know its a turn of phrase , but the assumption that anyone would think because MS is once again being MS and doing what he does best means that this isn't anything to be worried about because "Its May..." is living in dream land.

This isn't some average QB throwing INTs, Its a poor one who is out to impress the coaching staff and show that he's on his way to eliminating this error prone side of his game.......he's failing very badly ..... again!

Yep, its 1 OTA .... the CS have stated they want the QB battle over sooner rather than later, so when is it exactly when it WON'T be ok to throw INTs???

Marty absolutely loved Harrington. He was the key reason he was drafted. Marty cut Charlie Batch the previous season starter.

You always forget to include the part where Rex says you have to recoginze the play isn't there and either throw the ball away or run with it and that the turnover wasn't acceptable.

Sanchez's biggest weakness is that he never throws the ball away. He keeps it in the field of play, either with a risky throw or in his hands waiting for a sack and possible turnover that way.

He's been one of the worst QB's I've ever seen in terms of never giving up on a play and accepting that the best move is to take a small setback and live to play another down.

In his first couple of seasons that looked like bravado on his part and gave him the aura of a high-stakes gambler. The last couple of years and particularly last year it just looked like stupidity.

I really don't want him to win the job. I have no confidence that he'd do anything with the opportunity at this point. Watching another few games of the kind of play he's shown us throughout his career is not going to do anything for me.

BTW, watching the butt fumble over and over again the main question I have is how did Sanchez not get double concussed on that play? Watch his head snap back when it runs into Moore and then watch it bounce on the field as he lands. There's no way he wasn't going tweet tweet after that. I'll bet the guy has had a half dozen concussions already in his career and that could easily explain why his play has deteriorated so much recently.

    That's called addition by subtraction.

"I'm shaking the rust off a little bit," ... "getting back into the swing of things, especially with a lot of young guys."

    Ok Sanchez...

Looking at some of the footage of Geno...the ball comes out pretty nice.

We can confirm that by looking up all the INT's our defensive tackles have racked up over the last 4 years.

He needs to throw it away there, but again, if you read the entire transcript, rex all but says...he threw him a curve ball. He also said, turning tue ball over is never an option, and the emphasis, is team Wide.

You see, to always forget to mention the part where Snacks play was so unbelievable, that Mangold was stunned.

Brady threw a beauty to David Harris on a screen play in the divisional game,

    Guess he sucks too.

And..,,FWIW....do you really mean to suggest that most QBs are going to look for a DT rotating out 7 odd yards to spy a back, to cover the hot read? Cmon man.

And secondarily, Mangold was probably the guy that blew the block on Snacks.....rex makes a point of saying he was blocking on the play,

If you have the film available, go watch the Harris pick in the NE divisional game. Pouha tries to effect the same move, but the center is there. Harris picks rhe overthrow.

If Pouha beats the center, he under cuts the route.

If i was more technologically astute, i could screen the pick...but id bet a dollar to a doughnut its the same defense,

yes yes i do... this is why you regularly see qbs throw the ball at the backs feet.

here's a novel idea: until geno is ready, why not start the qb who doesn't turn the ball over? :eek:hmy:

you know, the guy who nick saban trained to hold bama's highest completion % and lowest interception % in school history? yes, the same school which had joe willie and ken stabler pass through!

The same guy who has so much talent that he started 4th on the depth chart behind matt Simms? Sackelroy? That guy?
