Welp, I didn't think they'd win last night but somehow they pulled it out. On to Boston, where who knows what can happen if they can steal one. Hoping against hope, but maybe oh maybe can we please get someone back from the building injury list? Clowe maybe or Strals? I was holding my breath the whole time Eminger and Hamrlik were stuck on the ice in OT for that marathon shift. Good God what a pair.
Chara was garbage last night, Steps picked his pocket, stayed too far off Nash on Kreids game winner, he hates to get hit hard
So of those saves Hank made last night were incredible. His focus is just off the charts. We are watching one of the greatest Rangers ever right now.
Yeah, it's not like putting him on a line with Nash and allowing the kid to play with a fellow scorer makes any difference.
I think the key play of the game was that unforced offsides by Del Zotto when he voluntarily skated out of the Bruins zone during that Rangers Power Play. The man is a legend second to none. Slap the Captain's C on him already!
I would say that Richter never had a year like Lundqvist had last year. Question is: Can Hank be consistantly good for as long as Richter was?
Hank is better, Richter won a Cup on a great team and played great, but Hank does it every night, with a lesser defense , Richter gave up a bad goal almost every game, Eddie Giacomin was better than him too
Great skill on that deflection, the speed to get in position also, great pass by Nash, shit play byFrankenstein to give Nash too much room
Listen, I love Eddie Giacomin. He is my favorite Ranger of all time. That being said, like Richter, he had plenty of talent in front of him as well.
