a lot of pressure on that layup it would be in my mind to maybe hurry it so it would be out of my hands in time. Hard to do it normally brutal defense though
IND lost a game they 100% needed to take with how average the Heat played. Also, Frank Vogel kept on preaching last series, "we don't adjust to teams" regarding the knicks playing small. He just adjusted twice to the Heat by pulling Hibbert, your rim protector, 4 easy points for Lebron.
On the first Bron layup, West was in the corner that Lebron drove on Bosh. You leave Bosh for that corner 3 IMO. West also with terrible D, just swiped at Lebron instead of trying to come over and actually play D. Final possession, Tyler Hansborough chased Allen, West on inbounder, Sam Young on Bosh who watched Lebron. I can understand this more for not having Hibbert because you assumed lots of action and jumper so Hibbert is slow for that. The first one confuses me
Zach Lowe @ZachLowe_NBA 29s Literally, if Hibbert is standing where Young is at the end of that play, LeBron has to alter his shot at least a bit. Also, credit for Lebron in a split second realizing George played him wrong and going straight to the hoop. He could have settled, but he realized right away
just saw the replay of LeBron's layup some bouncy woman jumping up and down right behind the basket Hibbert is Indiana's biggest strength in this series. If he doesn't have a big series, they can't win. And he needs to be on the floor in key spots. You always leave Bosh for the corner 3. If I'm Indiana, Bosh shooting threes makes me very happy. He has no business taking those shots. Fault Spoelstra for not doing something about it. Miami has a lot of good three point shooters, and Wade and Bosh should not be shooting any, because they suck at it.
I still don't understand why Bosh getting open or anyone else (nobody was on fire that game) is better than leaving a lane open for a Wade or Lebron drive.
Key 3 to get to OT by George, 3 Free Throws made to get the lead, and then a terrible defensive play to let Lebron get the easy basket and the win. The Jets should sign him!
This big vs small decision by Vogel will be interesting going forward. He's going to have decide situation by situation to leave Hibbert in or out now when they slide Bosh to the 5. Man two things on the final play, Dwyane Wade jumps really really high. Lebron was actually pretty far away from the basket.
Also makes me furious the Knicks didn't do this until too late in the series/ because of foul trouble. Frank Vogel says they won't let other teams dictate their style, but when they go small, he changes. Taking Hibbert out especially with Lebron/Wade out there is leaving the paint wideeeee open with one defensive mistake. It doesn't allow any room for error which Hibbert gives
