Spurs played on Christmas in 2008 and 2005, most recently. I don't know how to look up all their national TV games, but they were featured a number of times. OK, here we go. 16 times this season. More than most teams, that's for sure. The Nets were only on 13 times. The Hawks were on 5 times. The Bucks were on once.
For real. Nobody can get $20 tix with their head touching the ceiling for a Spurs game when they are at home playing against Minnesota on a Monday night at the start of the season. Calling bullshit on that.
He said he got into MSG to see SA for 20 bucks. I went to that game this year and couldn't find a ticket under 100 dollars on stubhub, so wondering where he found them for 20 bucks.
Yeah this was in 09. It was at the same time the Jets played the Colts and the Colts benched the starters. I honestly didnt want to go because I wanted to watch the Jets game. MSG went nuts though when they said the Jets beat the Colts. Gotta go to Brookyln or MSG one more time to see the Spurs....
That's what I mean, Spurs are small market and I can't find them out here on a dead night for that cheap. No wary in hell you find them at MSG for that cheap.
Yeah I guess in 08-09 that makes sense. It was NYK's we are going to suck and try to get Lebron plan that ended up getting Amare for 100 million
Not playoff related but the Hornets are coming back to Charlotte. It'll take 18 months though... http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9296280/report-charlotte-bobcats-become-hornets-again
It was in December 27, on week 16 of the nfl season. It prolly was around that time. It honestly wasnt the greatest experience because the entire time my phone was blowing up about the Jets game, like when Brad Smith returned that kick I got a zillion texts.
I wonder if Howard goes to Houston, I feel that is ideal and Hakeem would certainly support him more than Shaq does. Also the Nets are interested in Lionel Hollins.
Well there is one option that has been floated around, Howard comes back for the year and then Lebron/Melo opt out and join him in LA. GRANTED very slim possibility, but the opt outs of Melo, Lebron, the unsigned Paul, and their reluctance to speak about it, you never know. The players control their destiny a lot more in the NBA than other sports

A couple of things that I learned in the past 24 hours about this series, or at least peripheral details of it: Someone cell-phoned in a death threat on Tony Parker during the 4th quarter of the last game and Tony was escorted home by police. The call came from inside AT&T Center. Zach Randolph was seen by numerous locals getting his party on with stripper skanks on Saturday night.
yeah I saw that about Parker when I was googling him earlier to look at his stats. This came up: As for Randolph, not surprising
Someone else did a similar thing, with his own reasons: http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports....-100-percent-chance-the-nba-lottery-is-fixed/
Read a couple tweets today that Lebron was working on his floater. I remember him drill that shot last year against the Pacers to never it see it again. Guess he'll add it to the bag of tricks again.
I also considered them a big market team, but see this: The teams remaining in the playoffs, and their market ranking in the US: Miami (16th) Indiana (27th) San Antonio (37th) Memphis (48th)
