I don't by any stretch see posting this as "trolling", and I take a little offense to that. Think what you want, but clearly this is an opinion that's out there and it's something that people are clearly buying into. You can disagree with it, and you should, but trolling? C'mon, biggs. Threads like this exist to open up discussion and set the record straight on the few naive people that do buy into it. At least that's how I saw it when I posted it.

It's a wild fringe opinion from a hate monger. There are all kinds of nuts not all of them deserve a forum for general discussion.

RuFan, please take this in the intended non-confrontational tone, but come down off the ledge already. I recently recall you getting ahead of yourself in the "Boston Marathon Bombing" thread with a "monsters!!...monsters!!...I see monsters everywhere!!!" post, and while I understood where you were coming from back then, I think your emotions are once again getting the better of you and causing you to leap before you look into those emotionally charged waters.

It is the radical brand of ANY religion that is the problem.

    Nice...how ethnocentric of you.

Piece of garbage? I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not (I hope you were) so I'll prudently reserve comment.

lol. Derking, here's a cool read about just that: Alan Shlomo Veingrad, played with the GB Packers and has a SB ring (and a watch from Emmitt Smith) with the Cowboys: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/06/us/06religion.html

How about "Joshua at the Battle of Jerrico" for $800 Alex? ...easy, just phuckin' with ya... now, come down off that ledge....

Yes, how dare he have an opinion in a country where opinion is cherished! What a slanted joke of an article.

Though I think this article is prejudiced let's make one thing clear extremism of ANY religion is not the problem or at least not the same problem. Extremists in the name of the Muslim religion are quite different and quite ruthless today. Ask the Lebanese Christians what they think of their Lebanese Muslim "brothers".

Religion and politics are two topics that our board monitors should keep their opinions to themselves, ESP when they are thin skinned and can't tolerate the personal attacks they dish.

I agree with your one example of extremism.

I look forward to your examples of the other religions.

This is the most ignorant post in a thread full of hatred and ignorance. Why should he hold a press conference about his religion and not other religious Jets players? Maybe some fans find fundamentalist Christian views to be objectionable and dangerous. Should we force all the Christian wing nuts on the Jets, and you know there have to some, to let us know how they feel about social issues that may be important to fans, such as abortion, contraception, pre-marital sex, gay marriage, women's rights, etc.? What if we have a team full of wackos like Tim Thomas???

Sports and religion just don't mix. Period. And religious extremism is bad. Period. No matter what form it takes and what religion is being practiced to the extreme. Religious extremism promotes hatred and intolerance and leads to violence.

Can't have violence on our football team.

    We should only draft Lutherans.
They're like the flag football of religion.

Less than one year ago, Sarsour posted on her Twitter account, “Nothing is creepier than Zionism.”

Someone should introduce her to Brett Farve.

Agree he owes no one anything. One final thought - a nieve one - I'm tired of the Palestinian American, the Jewish American, the Irish American, the African American, you get my drift. It's the prefix that's the problem. Focus on making this America - flavor us with your culture but leave your f*ck#n problems at the door

You all should have know this author was a hack after reading "one of the top offensive linemen in the entire draft"

The article is absolute trash and I hope people read past the headline to see the giant assumptions and exaggeration the author used to label Aboushi as a terrorist.

People don't stop being who they are when they enter our borders.

You were right, it was a very naive thought.

Where people come from is part of who they are.

BTW I wonder what the government is doing to protect America from these people "attacking" us on Twitter.
