Are our bad fans leaving to root for another team?

Still not sure how people are bad fans for being disappointed with something disappointing and wanting a better option.

Impulsive my be a better word, but even thats not something uncalled for in the case of Sanchez.

He still has potential, he just hasn't been producing to a level people would like. wether they're right or not on judging his performance how can you call them bad fans for that?

I don't know about all that. But, hopefully, our 'good' fans will be less supporting of and less accepting of mediocrity.

I didn't say the bad fans were the ones that wanted him gone, the bad ones are the ones that are rotting against him or any player we have.

I don't know who those folks are, I want to win more than anyone. The difference is I don't want to rebuild every 2-3 years b/c whiny fans want ANOTHER new direction for the team. The same ones whining about Mark now will be doing the same for Geno at some point.

How do you come to that assumption?

I see an ugly QB competition on the horizon myself..

A lightning-rod rookie QB that's not afraid to speak his mind VS. the embattled former franchise QB that has issues with "competition"

This mess could get ugly. Wait until training camp.

Mark Sanchez is ranked at or near the bottom in every metric known to an NFL fan. Suffice to say, fans are justified in not wanting to see the guy start anymore.

If Geno doesn't preform after 4 years or isn't showing steady and substantial improvement from year to year yes.

But having watched the jets for 44 years now, soon 45, I know medicroity when I see it.

Mark stunk last year, that was the first season he stunk. Stop worrying about metrics and start watching games. name me the other QBs who had Kerley, Schilens, Gates, Cumberland and Reuland as their main weapons?

so you want a QB that is totally dependent on his receivers.

    makes sense...

I'm not waiting for Mark Sanchez to turn into something anytime soon, but that was a good response.

No not all the time. He has some growing to do though and is running out of time. No doubt he has to have a good year to remain a Jet.

Lightning rod? Come on, man. The Jets media and also BSPN have been trying to turn every player on the Jets into lightning rods. Not just Geno Smith.

Except the lightning isn't lightning, it's money generated by clicks and ratings.

I think that there will be an honest competition at QB, but it won't be the farce that the Sanchez v. Tebow joke was.

Let those media morons tweet completion counts if they want. The best passer will get the start on opening day.

Sad thing is, whomever it is, he won't be all that good.

No but no QB is getting to the playoffs w/ the weapons we had most of last year.

It's the circular arguments and unwilling of compromise mostly from the haters.

The haters refuse to acknowledge that Sanchez has done anything good in a Jets uniform. When in fact he played well enough to get them to a Superbowl in 2010. I could buy the argument he was carried in '09 but not 2010.

It has gotten so bad we are dissecting plays in games. I can get plays of Peyton last year when he made bad reads and bad throws. Some of the defense arguments are just as ridiculous. We lost games and some close and tough games. Some where on the defense some where on the offense.

Why does Sanchez have to be great or suck for the defense needing a stop? Why must he be great or suck for leading a scoring drive? That is what he supposed to do.

Oh give alley a bit of a leash here. I know he's completely unaware of the Caps Lock button, much like yourself, but he can throw out some solid nuggets of wisdom when the mood strikes him.

It's just fun to get under your skin, junc. You come out like Spartacus, but you react like Sean Penn.

caps lock? huh? no one really gets under my skin, I am always in control. The only ones that truly irritate me are the ones afraid to debate. Whether right or wrong no one should ever be afraid to debate on a message board.
