Spurs moving on barring some ridiculous shenanigans from the Warriors or Joey Crawford

YESS, fuck yess, Back in the conference finals! Despite all the hooplah with everyone picking LA in the preseason, then the struggles down the stretch, then OKC etc,

We are back where it ended a year ago. Long road but ive been waiting for this since we lost game 6 in OKC.

It was a nice close-out. But now we are playing a team that is a terrible match up.

This team is better than the Memphis team that knocked us out two years ago.

This is going to be a brutal series.

Two people in this thread are Spurs fans. That is exactly half the number of football teams you root for.

    Shut up.

Isn't soxxx a bandwagoner tho? No shots at anybody I just thought I remembered him getting called out for not knowing how many titles they had won. If I'm wrong I'm sorry but I don't think I am.

    Wouldn't be surprised, honestly.

But you don't have to have a clue to be a fan.

Look at the Pats. Most of their douche fans don't know that Parcells was a coach of their team.

And I have gone on record as having no basketball affiliation up to 2008.

The Knicks broke me. And so did David Stern. I have never seen the Spurs win a championship as a fan of the Spurs.

I fell in love with great coaching, a class organization, and the hatred for showmanship and ego in basketball.

I really like to see fundamental sports. You see that with the Spurs, every single night. You don't with a lot of other teams. Because they want to win with talent and without coaching.

    That concept makes me want
    to puke.

I guess the reason that I became a Spurs fan was 50% hyper-vigilance and 50% wife.

This is actually the first time that I have ever felt like I was a true fan of an NBA team though, so I don't give a shit.

It actually started with the strike season and the way Van Gundy built that team in '99.

I was annoyed at watching that Spurs team destroy my hopes. I kept waiting for it to get better, but it just got worse. And worse.

So to answer your original question, it was probably Dolan.

No I remember what you are talking about tho, I said the Spurs won 4 titles in 8 years but its actually 4 titles in 9 seasons so I got accused of not being a fan. It was a wording error, I mean obviously I kno thr Spurs won 4, I can easily list the last 20 champions off the top of my head easily so...

Also I was correct when I said 8 years because technically June 25, 1999-June 14, 2007 is 8 years, not 9. It was 9 seasons but 8 year span.
