No he was bad in 2009 He was average at best in 2010 I have eyes and my eyes told me what I needed to know. Plus the stats back up what my eyes told me.
he wasn't bad in 2009, he was a rookie w/ typical rookie ups and downs who played really well in postseason. In 2010 he was a top 10-12 QB at worst. If your eyes tell you that your eyes don't know what they are watching. he's had ONE bad season- 2012.
Listen, I m not a Mark Sanchez apologist but how can you sit here and argue that he has not lost SIGNIFIGANT talent/support in the past two years? Maybe a better question is what QB in the NFL has done more with less than Mark Sanchez? I doubt you can name one. Does Mark need to improve his accuracy, decision making, and ball handling skills? Without question. But the attacks by some on this board and in the media (not to mention in the league) are ridiculous. And Yes, Mark Sanchez was part of a TEAM that won four playoff road games and went to two AFC title games. I bolded TEAM for a reason, if you don’t understand that then I have little faith you can coherently understand the game of football…good day sir LOST- LG-Faneca RT-Woody WR-Edwards, J-CO, Brad Smith, Plax RB-T Jones, T-Rich, LT Replaced By LG- Slauson RT,-WFH and Howard WR- Gates, JK, Turner, Hill RB- Greene, Powell
What my eyes told me>>what you're telling me that I saw The stats back up what I saw. He struggled as a rookie but was given a pass because he was a rookie with limited experience.
Your eyes are deceiving you. he had a few really bad games but was good in the majority of his games as a rookie.
:what: Some of you guys are losing this battle to Hobbes and Junc. SMH at the Jimmy Clausen comparison. Just stop.
Lmao QB rating. You can do better. 11-5 that year. Mark played his role and got us wins. We don't make the playoffs without him. Some are using 2011 as well. MS started really sucking after the Jets got Tebowed
hmm..QBR is what QBs are rated on..he was 27th and our defense was great hence 11-5 or maybe it would have been 15-1.
Curtis Martin, Ladainian Tomlinson and Steve Smith all think Sanchez isnt the answer. Their eyes must be deceiving them, and they know nothing about this sport.
did you know that Tony Romo, Matt Schaub, Chad Pennington, Daunte Culpepper and Jeff Garcia were better QBs than Dan Marino? It has to be true, they all had/have better QB ratings than Dan. They are also better than Roger Staubach(ask Cowboy fans who was the better QB- Romo or Staubach?).
This question is for both of you what does Sanchez do on the field that makes him "better" than Matt Moore and Jimmy Clausen? I've asked a question like this to Hobbes before and he said the usual 4 road playoff wins and he is better because he's better.
Curtis doesn't even follow football, LT was trying to make a name for himself in the broadcasting world and who knows what Smith was thinking. he has enough issues on his team that will be in last place again. Maybe if LT could have scored from the 1 we could have won in Pitt? Maybe if he did a little better on his 9 carrries than gaining 16 yds we would have won? LT- career 3.6 YPC guy in postseason, mark helped him get closer to the SB than he would ever get and that's the thanks he gets?
watch the games, Clausen has proven he can't play and matt Moore has proven he can play- when the games are meaningless. Put pressure on him and he's Mark Sanchez 2012.
QBR is a crappy stat, only ESPN uses it. The thing is, he contributed to a lot of our wins. The defense didn't shut out every team matter fact they regressed from 2009 to 2010. Stats only tell you part of the story.
