Can we make a thread for the three people who still think Mark Sanchez is a viable starting QB, so we don't have them trolling every other thread on the forum?

Sanchez sucks but our coach has a
Big hardon for him. Why? who knows. Signing garrard was designed to make sanchez the starter. I figured he would last 2 weeks.

When you use the word "may" as in "he may be able to play against NFL caliber defenses" you probably aren't suggesting that person is a shoe in for the HOF.

    1. The front office has no choice. They can't cut the guy for financial reasons or I bet they would have.

    2. No starter has been named, how can you even say they agree with you?

    3. Do you think they planned on Garrard retiring?

The front office agrees with you so much they drafted a QB early and signed a vet with starting experience.

So I thought we were only getting a second rounder for Revis according to the great Hobbes? What happened? Oh yeah, you were just talking out of your ass, as usual.

Ok. Lets start with 3, and work towards Sanity.

Garrard, has not started a game in twoyears, why? Injury. Last year, he got hurt in his Swimming Pool..

Retiring probably not,the bet was to have him as a2 with the clipboard.

So..taking minimal observation into account...Garrard was here so the F.O. Could say they brought in legit competition for Sanchez. theydidnt.

There were probably 10 younger, healthier guys they could have brought in.

Then..,,(for the Jets want to move on crowd), they passed on Smith, not once...but twice. Him being there at 39 was like hitting the lotto, but it was a gift, clearly not a plan.

Add all that together, and it says, the GM thinks MM is the answer to the Jets offensive woes.

Excepting Ivory ( 4th round pick) youll notice theydidnt invest in skill position players.

Dude, get a grip. If theythought Smith was thier new franchise player, the draft goes like this.

    Richardson,Smith,someone.

Smith falling to 39 was a lottery ticket not a plan.

Please dont let that last brain cell die from loneliness.

Revis? Thats all he was worth. Read any article about Idzik and that trade, and everyone takls about themasterful job he did in no market. Dont confuse Al Davis syndrome with common sense. Even the 49ers would go beyond a third, in their pursuit. In factthe Niners first two picks were equal in value to the 13 overall. They passed.

And..,just between you and me...when Josh Freeman is under center, you are not close enough to justify the trade or contract.,,,thats why Revis gets no guaranteed money, which is a deal he wouldnt take here. That kind of changes the value equation.

    Talking out of my ass?

Im long on record saying Garrard would not see thefield.

And sanchez is the opening day starter.

    Im already batting .500

I was almost gonna say you have semi valid points... ALMOST... up until the bolded. Adding that all together doesn't say Idzik thinks MM is the answer. It says to me, WAY louder, that he thought the skill position talent in this draft was subpar and he was right. And not even attempting to go get skill position players tells me you don't have a real plan to build around the QB who has been terrible for two years and has no contract after next year. Waiting til next year to improve the offensive talent tells me you want to build around whoever the QB will be AFTER your current one, who like I said, won't be here after next year.

So what is this now, a science experiment? Call me crazy, but I'd prefer to use my eyes, rather than one statistical category for one year.

I like this thing, "Geno ballwashers"... Its a good thing you got going, it actually might stick.

No one swore we were taking Geno. People wanted to take Geno at 13, myself included, but no one swore the Jets were going to draft him. And I think you are extremely spinning the fact that we passed on him twice in order to make yourself feel better. Its clear the Jets were going BPA the entire draft, especially in the 1st. Many people had Geno ranked around 10-15, which would be solid value at 13, especially considering his position and our need (yes, we needed a QB). But, when 9 and 13 came around, 2 of our top 4 player were around, so there's that. Its also been reported, I believe by the Jets themselves, that the Jets were deciding between Geno and Richardson at 13, but went with the player higher on their board.

I mean, you can continue to try and use that to your advantage, but you'll continue to look like a fool.

At this point, Im convinced that you actually dont watch the games, but just look at the box score. If you actually watched the games, you would realize Sanchez's regression from the first half of 2011, to now. You keep using 2011 like 2012 didnt actually happen. You keep using it like his confidence, mechanics, footwork, leadership and accuracy all didnt regress.

Why are you people even playing this game? Anyone who follows the NFL or any of the so-called expert analysts have all conceded that Sanchez's time as the Jets franchise QB is long over.

Only a few blind posters on this board back Sanchez for no good reason. Anyone who watches him play can obviously tell all of his shortcomings and there's so many.

He's damaged goods and like I have said many times, he will be a backup in the league after next year when the Jets let him go and he'll be out of the league within a few years after carrying a clipboard.

It's not worth arguing anymore as Sanchez is a joke and no one seriously thinks he is a legit NFL QB.

Because watching three dilusional people clinging on to their version of the truth for dear life is FUN?

Especially when they're so convinced of how right they are, that they consider themselves in a position of baptizing the rest of us here.
Coz in their world, they're preaching gospel and only fools ("average fans" etc) sees the world in another light.
In addition, name-calling also occurs when someone disagrees too strongly, even though it's mainly Hobbes dishing those ones out.

Couple this with clear signs of megalomania, and you got yourself some entertainment.

Garrard supposedly considering an interim QB coach gig w/ the Jets. I would love for him to mentor Geno.

    SIGN THIS COACHING BEAST!!

Really? Nice Obama avatar, how did that happen?

Provide a link where you said Garrard would retire before the preseason due to injury.

You were wrong on Revis, wrong on Romney and you will probably be wrong on Sanchez. Do you have any stock picks? If so I would like to short them.

    Did I say retire?

I said, his injury history would rear its ugly head, amd given that theres no way hes the starter on opening day.

Ive said it enough times you can dig it up yourself.
