In fairness to Jonny, he's only a bit more than a year older than me. But he's 40 and I'm not, which makes him old and me a winner.
There's a massive cooling system underneath. I've worked at a rink and dealt with it. We had 2 huge generators running to keep the ice at about 28 degrees. I'm sure they'll have many precautions to keep the ice at a perfect temp. Tons of generators. As stated, humidity is the only possible issue. I'm excited for the Yankee Stadium games. Hopefully attending both. Curious to see how much the tickets will cost.
The biggest problem with that cooling system under the ice is that you can't just crank it to lower temp to make up for the warmer setting. The colder the ice is, the more brittle it becomes. Changing the temp by even one degree either way drastically changes the ice.
Guess who has to work the same night as a Rangers game again? This guy. At least they aren't playing Saturday night this week.
