If I recall...VY looked like shit under this system in Pre-season and for a few of the games he started a couple of years ago. Bt yes, he KNOWS it.
So there is a competition. Sanchez loses. He sucks in practice and doesnt do much in pre season. QBs get cut. we pick one up. Bye Bye Sanchez.
It's not a matter of Sanchez's "Jock". If you're not smoking crack, you'd take a look at the roster and realize we now only have one QB who has started more than one game in the NFL. EDIT: Also Tim Tebow is on that list, who is better than Mark Sanchez.
Not the end of the world, but damn... Do people have enough faith in McElroy to potentially add competition?
How to handle the ridiculous over-the-top tabloid criticism coming from the NY media and the Jets idiotic fan-base.
they can sign a vet fa as insurance. but, i would start mcelroy instead of the turnover machine from socal. smith can start after he has the chance to sit and learn. it does not have to be this year. the guy in green bay sat for 3 years behind favre before he got the chance to start.
Rodgers sat because he was behind Favre; you don't sit Gino, if he is ready, if the other options are Sanchez and McElroy. There is no right or wrong way to develop a QB. It used to be you started them right away. Then the Bengals sat Carson Palmer, and that was the way to do it. Then Flacco and Sanchez started right away and that was the rage again. it is all entirely dependent on how ready the individual QB is, and since none of us know that about Gino nobody could prefer either way that he sit or play right away.
Not surprising but too bad - Garard is a good guy and was a good QB when healthy. Hopefully they bring in Hoyer.
that's the point. it was directed at the statement of wanting Gino to sit and learn without any basis that he isn't capable of starting day one.
im not kidding, but if we could bring in jamarcus i'd be happy. ive been watching his come back videos and i've never seen a more humble guy that just wants a second chance. anyways, if any of you thought david garrard was going to start, you'd be crazy. i don't even remember the last time that happened, it must of been like eli manning and kurt warner. aaron rodgers and colin kapernick don't count because they actually had talent infront of them. geno should win the job, i think people are just automatically assuming that because he was from the air-raid system that he can't learn the WCO. i think he can do it
good, I never understood the reason for signing Garrard anyway since he hasn't played in 2 freakin years. I am all for bringing in a vet.....Garrard was never the answer from the beginning
Tebow?????? :rofl2: I mean, I like Tebow...but...hes not on Sanchez planet as far as NFL QBing goes. And let me get this straight...80 percent of the board, wants a guy that never started an NFL game, to Start on opening day, but having him for the primary backup, is now a problem?
